The Lions did well against Kansas City.
Still waiting for the Viking game to start.
Baby Minon is about to start the Cowboy game. He's waiting so he can fast forward through commercials.

Didn't get a chance to watch much football this weekend. I was really pulling for the Bills though - wanted to see them beat the Patriots just once. (I'm not really a Bills fan but I'm definitely NOT a Patriots fan - mostly because I'm just so sick of them.)

Sorry about the Lions loss - it really does sometimes feel like they get the shaft.

It's just a running joke here, that between their own ineptitude and random really really weird plays/rules that seem to come up when they're playing... it's just SOL (same old Lions), like how are they going to lose this week. Pick up the flag on pass interference (against Dallas in the playoffs that led to a loss) or Seattle kicking the ball out of the back of the endzone which is actually a safety and would give the Lions a win but the refs didn't know the rule, or Calvin's not completing the catch which somehow became a rule after that play in Chicago, or the Golden Tate play where his touchdown with 9 seconds left was ruled a touchdown even though it wasn't so it was reviewed and then overturned and because it was an overturned ruling there's a 10 second runoff meaning the Lions don't get a last play...even though it was the refs fault the call was incorrect and the Lions would have a least a first down on the play...

I mean I could keep going, but it hurts, it's just always something.

I didn't watch much college football yesterday. Michigan State is so frustrating to watch because their defense (though not great yesterday) is SO good, their offense is equally not great. I foresee a blood bath next weekend against Ohio State.

My cousin was complaining about the refs today. He said across the NFL, they are really getting to the point of interfering with the game. He watches a lot of red zone and says they are ruining football.

It's just even with all the reviews it's still so inconsistent. One of the hail marys the Lions attempted yesterday there was clear pass interference on Marvin Jones, but they wouldn't review it....okay, but why, if pass interference is now reviewable and it would give the Lions one untimed down with a first and goal? Sometimes it feels like because the Lions are the Lions there just isn't the same outrage or care taken into reviewing or really paying attention to a call if it were say...the Chiefs or Patriots or a team that has an NFL golden boy on it.

With the holiday today my office is closed so I went and saw Hustlers this morning. Yes, I went to the actual theater! I really really liked it. I'm always a sucker for a heist movie with a great soundtrack...do I think Jennifer was Oscar worthy? Probably not. BUT, I feel like this is a classic Oscar performance that voters will love. Actors like Leo who are so consistently great always seem to be overlooked because they're just always great and then you'll get an actor who has always just been good or serviceable and then they have a performance or role of a lifetime and then they're Oscar favorites and generally win. Lili Reinhart is so cute. I might have to restart Riverdale. I also loved Cardi B and the Usher cameo...had no idea Julia Stiles was in it too.

I don't know what's going on with my friggen' face. I posted about sunpoisioning on the 22nd. Since then, it's gone away and come back 3 times. And now again today. It's actually a virus that gets irritated by the sun or wind burn.I haven't had it in over two years and now bam! And so odd the way it never fully develops, goes away, and comes back. It's quite attractive.

Re mold: I have a small area on the ceiling of my upstairs bathroom that gets black mold. I clean it with vinegar every few weeks. It's because I don't have any windows in the bathroom and the exhaust fan is broken. But I've been assured that isn't the type of mold that would cause respiratory problems. Then in my dining room there is what looks like a water stain on the wall. You can barely see it and only when the light catches it a certain way. It's not wet. I had a mold test when I bought the house 8 years ago, so I think I'm fine. I'm being paranoid.

My nephew is good at finding Eagles games on Reddit... I've never had success. But I get the Philadelphia CBS affiliate on my cable so I usually never have a problem watching the games. So weird because my family is 17 minutes northeast of me and they don't get it. I must be right on the borderline between NYC and Philadelphia. I'm actually a bit closer to NYC though. However I am seriously considering cancelling cable and going with Hulu Live. I suppose I can pick up a streaming network for the games somehow.

I like the green tea at Dunkin Donuts much better than Starbucks. I drink WAY too much of it and now that I have been taking CBD oil before bed, the caffeine doesn't affect me much. I don't drink coffee but now I understand what people say when they have "a good cup of coffee" as compared to a not good cup of coffee. Tea is the same way. On Saturday night, after the Global Citizens Festival I had the BEST iced green tea from DD. I think it was because I was so hot and thirsty. I almost broke down and had a Coke, which I haven't had in 4 years.

I didn't see Connie at all on Saturday. We were in the front row of the VIP section so we could see the stars coming and going . The only star we saw come and go was Rami Malek and Lucy Boyton which was perfectly fine with me because that was the only reason I was there and in that particular spot. But the show was amazing. The highlights were Queen and Alicia Keys. But everyone was great. I was there for 12 hours and it was HOT. Metallica announced that they would be headlining next year but I think my general admission festival days are done. My knees are shot again. I was feeling better but I ****ed that up.

Going to see Rami on Kelly & Ryan tomorrow morning and then to the premier for Mr. Robot tomorrow night. We don't have tickets to the premier but we are going to see who we can see. Then Sunday is the Coney Island premier party. A very Ramiful week. I have had something to do every single day for the last month, and next weekend is full too. It's good for me to be busy but this is ridiculous. I will never complain of being bored or lonely again. Next Saturday is a Chili Cook-off at Jon Bon Jovi's restaurant.

My best friend got married yesterday on the beach. It was a second marriage so it was more like a big party. A lot of fun. I have one day today to catch up on bills and laundry etc. I'm exhausted and my stomach is killing me. I've been n the bathroom all morning. Fun.

Last weekend I went to see Downton Abbey in Philly. We went to Chick-fil-a beforehand because we were crunched for time. I had never been there before, but you are right, they were very efficient. It was okay. I'm not a huge chicken fan. The movie was adorable though. I also want to see Judy which comes out soon I think. I guess I will wait to see Hustlers on streaming.

I'm not a big mums fan. I think it's because I know they don't last long. I'd rather go with a pretty succulent.

The Eagles are 2-2 now. Really should be 4-0. Too many injuries. Hopefully we are on an upswing now.

I didn't watch the Emmys at all. I still don't even know who won what. Usually I'm all over it.

All of the time! Especially to NYC because it's such a hassle to get to.

My nephew is 18 and if he's not physically playing football or basketball, then he's watching it, and if he's not watching it, he's playing it on Xbox. It's constant.

I've never watched "The Masked Singer." Did they reveal who it is yet? Now I'm curious.

My friend works for Beekman 1802 who sell all goat milk products. Beekman 1802

This made me laugh out loud. PTSD. I went to Atlantic City a few weeks ago with a friend. On the way home she was showing me guys on Match that she was talking to. One of the guys turned out to be a friend of mine from back in the day. I was like "OMG I know him!" She sent him a message that she knew me etc. etc. and then he started messaging me and not her! Ha! I shut it down quick, but they still have never gone out.

How did Baby Minion's hair turnout? Your comment reminded me of one of my favorite Memes. SMURF

I like mums because at least when they're done blooming I can plant them in the flower bed on the side of my house. They're just green all summer but they bloom every fall again and they're good filler. I did it last year and actually only one of them survived the winter because I planted it too late.

I've only come across a guy that I knew on a dating app once. He matched with me on Hinge and I don't think he knew or remembered that we went to high school together kind of understandable, we had a class of over 600 and he ran in a different crowd than me. He was always a nice guy I just know that he has an addiction issue and that's just not something I want to deal with from the get go.

Watched the Masked Singer sporadically last season but not religiously, I watched the first episode this season...I think they reveal who one of the singers are each episode or the judges try to figure out who they are based on clues. I don't really know the format.

Hope your skin clears up, I'm very familiar with weird flairs for no reason whatsoever. I have really sensitive skin, weird things are always happening with it. When I'm stressed or when my immune system is down I have a psoriasis flair, usually in the same spots, on my arms, my scalp and sometimes on my neck. I got it a lot in college when I was stressed. I'm lucky that it's generally pretty limited but another reason why my doctor is always considering autoimmune diseases since I already have one.

My life revolves around my anxiety over whether or not to do something based on how much I'm going to enjoy it v. how much of a pain in the ass it's going to be logistically. I think I'm just getting old. I'm supposed to be going to Louisville this weekend yet have no details on it yet and secretly hope that someone else is going to back out so I can too.

Really? I didn't know they bloom each year. I thought they were one and doners.

They do come back each year. I have some that are huge. Eventually after a few years I usually dig them up and will replace them because they get too big and start falling over when they bloom, they topple over because of the weight of the flowers.

Kiki, want to fly into Detroit this weekend and come see Marc's band on Sunday?

Honestly though I'd probably go if I knew anyone who was into that type of music....but also Red Wings opening night so...the venue they're playing is basically a block from the Wings arena.

I totally would do something like that... if I had money to burn and didn't have plans already. They are actually really good, remind me of Tesla. I would love to see them. I stopped following him but let me know if they ever come to New York or Philly. The band at the wedding last night was AMAZING. They were SO not a wedding band, but a bar band.

I was supposed to be in Louisville this weekend but that seems to not be happening now so I just glanced at what was going on this weekend and his show popped up on Ticketmaster. I think I might still follow him on the Taylor account but I don't personally...maybe I should. I've never actually really listened to their music but just glancing at their account it looks a little heavier than what I'm used to.

That smurf meme is exactly what my hands looked like and his hair is a dark blue. I love that meme too. I crack up every time.

I'm sorry about your skin. That sounds not happy.

I pulled the carpet back further and let it dry some more. The kids say they can't smell it. hey don't get a vote. I can smell it, but it's very faint now. I had to almost be nose to pad. I put the carpet back down. It seems to be fine. We shall see. I have colloidal silver, so I should be fine if I do encounter something nasty.

The spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite.

Mums are very fall. I need a big planter I can put them in. I bet they wouldn't freeze and die here.

Speaking of here... I got the 411 on the weather today. Apparently fronts move to the north of us and get stuck, so we don't get nearly as much rain here. Fro what I have seen, when it does rain, it sprinkles in a few places and isn't widespread. It's rather odd. I was promised that it does rain more in October and November. So I'm looking forward to that. It was overcast and 88% humidity most of the day. That's insane!!

We watched Mask Singer last season. The kids sucked me in. A group of them sing (4 each time I think) and then based on the lowest number of votes, one is revealed at the end of each show.

I've seen no movies. We want to see Downton, but haven't yet. OM's homework schedule is brutal and sucking the life out of us all.

I'm three for three. I've never seen Downtown Abbey, never eaten at Chick-Fil-A and never heard of the Masked Singer. I'm definitely culturally starved.

Weather in LA has been really good lately. Super cool in the mornings and evenings and bright, sunny and comfortably warm during the day. It's the weather that everyone always says is what living here is all about. I do not envy those of you dealing with weather issues - whether its too hot or too cold, it always sucks.

At least its Fall and all of the seasonal items are out at Trader Joes - I honestly could eat an entire bag of cinnamon spiced pumpkin seeds in one sitting. And their Harvest Chili, if you haven't tried it yet - you should. It's delicious.

I always say I don't love pumpkin things but then left Trader Joe's this past weekend with pumpkin bread/muffin mix, pumpkin pancake/waffle mix and pumpkin granola bark...so yeah, I dove into those seasonal items. I asked when their beer bread is back and not until January, ugh, should have stocked up on that. And are their coconut pancakes seasonal? I went to get those last weekend and they were gone so settled for the pumpkin instead.

My favorite Christmas item are the dark chocolate stars, they're so addicting.

It was almost 90 today but this might have been the end of our Indian Summer. It's supposed to consistently be in the 60's and down into the 40's the next few days. I can finally wear some of the fall clothes I bought!

I've only eaten at Chick-Fil-A a handful of times and I have one right near me but it's usually when I'm out of town that I'll get it, in Nashville or in Colorado. The sauces are what are so good, otherwise it's just kind of okay for me.

Confession time... I've never been in a Trader Joe's. I know. I know. I've seen them, driven past them, read about them... even have the book about them... never been inside. I'm pretty sure they have one or two in ATX. I'll have to see. A friend posted all the pumpkin things the other day and it did look fantastic.

Chick-fil-a AKA Jesus Chicken is quite the food of the people here in the Bible belt. I love their spicy chicken sandwich, chicken biscuits, and chicken minis. Not a fan of the grilled chicken items, although, they are gluten-free and that was a big deal when I ate GF. I still didn't like them, but it was FF I could partake in. The minions like the Polynesian sauce. The chick fil a sauce is a trash panda. Sorry if that's your fav A.

OM's math professor is taking the class on a field trip Thursday to the museum of art located on campus. He asked them to invite friends and family. So, Baby Minion and I are going! We can hang out at the museum while she does her other classes and then we can all take the train home. Baby M hasn't been on the train yet. A new adventure for him!
