Everything NOT related to Taylor, but let's be honest, Taylor gets mentioned here as well.

The car is fixable, it's just taking ages because I think there were so many accidents that day because the roads hadn't been gritted. Seriously man, a couple of inches of snow and the UK can't cope. You think we'd be used to it!

I think I said before that Charlie is from a city just by me. Also so is Andrea Riseborough who played Rachel Koresh in Waco.

I had to Google the guy you mentioned, basketballer, yes?

We just watched Velvet Buzzsaw tonight. It was quite good but I expected better when I heard it was the same director as Nightcrawler. I like Jake too.

I've also watched the first season of Don't Trust the Bitch in apt. 23 this week. I love James Van Der Beek in it!

How often do you guys get snow over there? If the southern states get snow here or any state where it's hilly where they aren't used to it they close down too.

I forgot Velvet Buzzsaw was out, I love Jake but heard it wasn't great. I started watching Pen15, it's two 31 year olds playing their seventh grade selves. The show is written completely by women and their awkwardness is taking me straight back to seventh grade.

Yup, Blake is an NBA player. I don't know much about his career, he was traded here last year and was dating Kendall Jenner. I know he's an All-Star this year...that's about it. My brother is a huge Pistons fan so I texted him that I was sitting next to him and he was unimpressed. He said he runs into him all the time at the grocery store he goes to.

I rarely use my phone for anything.

Tftnt!

No problem.

I watched all of Pen15, it is hilarious and horrific at the same time some episodes. There is an episode entirely focused on signing up for AIM and I swear it was like watching home videos of my life.

I haven’t heard of Pen15. Netflix or Hulu?

worthyoflove 02-11-2019 01:52 PM

It's on Hulu. I will just forewarn if you're watching it with oldest minion there are absolutely uncomfortable episodes because the subject matter is taboo. Like there's an entire episode dedicated to one of the girls discovering masturbation. So it is super uncomfortable but in a very real way. And I don't know how well it will translate for viewers who are of a different generation. These girls were only a few years younger than me so the social aspect of that era made it super real for me.

But the episode where the one girl has her first kiss and boyfriend, again, I think came out of every adolescent teen's playbook. I totally had a guy that sat in front of me in seventh grade science class, Chris, who teased me incessantly. I had a huge crush on him but thought he hated me until he wrote me a will you or won't you go out with me note (I said yes, we "dated" for like three months while my best friend dated, no joke, his twin)...I mean, so cliche but it happens. My first kiss was in the basement of one of my neighbors houses in sixth grade, we were just playing truth or dare. It was awful.

SouthernSweetieTX 02-11-2019 02:48 PM

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I’ll watch an episode or two and survey the land so to speak.

worthyoflove 02-11-2019 02:50 PM

Aside from the masturbation episode and the episode where they gather at a boys house to all watch Wild Things for the first time, I mean it's not inappropriate...just uncomfortable.

I thought it was funny but again, generational thing and it might not be for everyone...and yes the two main girls are 30 somethings playing themselves in seventh grade.

Another week another winter storm, schools closed tomorrow...I really feel like if schools are closed we should all be closed. I just wish it would decide what it wants to do, the snow then ice then snow combination makes it awful and high wind, just fingers crossed the power stays on.

Okay

That’s an interesting concept for a show...I’ll watch an episode and see if I like it.

My baby cousin lives in Seattle and they have never had this much snow in February before. My friend said it’s the most snow in February in the history of Februarys.

stlavin95 02-11-2019 11:43 PM

Think I've seen photos of it

I would probably like Pen15 but I can't add anything new to my list. I'm about to start season 3 of Mr Robot. In my current rotation is The Office, Gilmore Girls, Elementary, Always Sunny and Blue Bloods. Plus my weekly guilty pleasure shows... Housewives, Teen Mom lol.

I am also in the middle of watching the movie Need For Speed. It's a terrible movie that made over $200 million, lol. Reminds me of Smokey and the Bandit. I'm only watching it because Rami is in it of course. But I'm actually enjoying it. I like going back and watching movies of an actor you just discovered. Like Bang Bang.. I would have never watched that if Taylor wasn't in it, and I loved it.

Posting this because I think it's an adorable picture and I know some of you love Margot. I am SO enjoying Rami's sweep of awards season. His speeches are so amazing. One more to go, the big one. Fingers crossed. And to make it Taylor related... I really hope we get to see him in this realm one day. I don't want him over the top famous but an Emmy or Golden Globe here and there would be nice. Like Jason Bateman's career or something.

The Michigan lawmakers are currently working on passing legislation to make sure kids don't have to go to school further into the summer because basically all the districts across the state have surpassed their snow days already by a few days. 6+ counting around here. Snow day today, I'm sure there will be a few more in the coming weeks or even into March is always dicey. I'm tired of the ice, honestly, snow doesn't bother me but the stupid ice is causing problems.

Griswold is the wimpiest dog, I'm working from home and a snow plow went down the street and he's been cowering in my room for like an hour refusing to come down.

worthyoflove 02-12-2019 10:45 AM

Love Margo! I thought we'd see more of her this awards season since Mary Queen of Scotts was supposed to be an awards contender but just never took off. I actually won't even be home for the Oscars. All the crap surrounding so many of the films and now the Oscars cutting some of the awards and airing them during the commercial breaks, the host drama. I can't say I'll miss watching them.

PEN15 is a really easy watch, they're just 10 half hour episodes, I binged it all Saturday night.

Taylor was supposed to be the lead in Need for Speed, in fact he turned it down.

I would love to see Taylor in the awards season realm, it is truly something to see and all the appearances and craziness, but it's fleeting and you're super spoiled as a fan for that year but unless you're a fan of like JLaw (which even she hasn't been back in recent years) it's not something to get used to because you never know when they might be back.

We are off today because of a snow/ice storm. It's our first day though. We lost 2 weeks during Hurricane Sandy and we had to make up every single day.
