Awesome.

Some of the actors' names from Bakkklansman have been thrown around for award season possibles. I wasn't aware that Denzel's son was an actor! I thought he was an athlete.

I follow women's college soccer and of course jump on the bandwagon during World Cup time. I'm actually not into college football, but I'm ready for NFL to get going.

I saw Christopher Robbin today. Very cute. Ironically, on the way to pick up my friend and her daughters, I saw an enormous black bear casually leaning against the metal guardrail on the side of the highway, just watching the cars go by.

I’m glad it was an easy fix A.

Technically, summer isn’t over until September 21ish. But most consider it over Labor Day weekend. It’s really over when the kids go back to school. Oldest minion starts Aug 28th and baby minion isn’t starting until the Tuesday after Labor Day.

We had two birthday parties this weekend. I’m exhausted.

I’m ready for football! My birthday usually falls around kick off weekend. I’m ready for fall, chili, crisp mornings, cooler weather, boots, and sweaters.

It feels like summer ends when kids go back to school. And I don't even have kids. Haha.

Yeah, Denzel's son played for the Rams in St. Louis, in the UFL and NFL Europe. (I had to look it up. Haha. I thought he played for the Chargers.). I first saw him in Ballers on HBO. He's really good in BlacKkKlansman, but Adam Driver is the best. I could imagine writing and best picture nominations, if it's still remembered at year's end.

Speaking of football, I am loving Hard Knocks! But there's already a player I love but will probably get cut because he's just not good enough. Those scenes always get to me on Hard Knocks but now it's closer to home because it's the Browns.

I saw The Meg tonight. That's how desperate I was to get out of the house. I do like Statham but this was basically an above-average Syfy channel movie with a bigger budget. The only movie left that I want to see is Mission: Impossible. I do want to see BlacKkKlansman again, which I'd have never imagined before I saw it. Christopher Robin looks cute but I'll probably wait for cable.

I always feel like Labor Day is the end of summer. Though September is generally such a beautiful month when it cools down in the evenings.

I love Adam Driver. I might need to check out BlacKkKlansman. He's being really smart with his career and he's such a cool guy.

I watched Hard Knocks last year only because one of my favorite college players from Michigan State was featured. He was one of the tryout guys that might or might not make it but everyone loved so you were rooting for him. He made the practice squad then was signed mid season and he's vying for a spot on the team this year. He's having a great pre-season so he might make the team.

I have not seen a movie this summer. Just nothing has really made me want to go to the theater. And I'm not sure there's anything coming out that would make me go either. Kind of sad.

I haven't watched the new season of Insecure yet. I'm trying to wait a few weeks of episodes to accumulate so I can binge them.

We've seen Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World. That's it.

The air in my house is not working, again. The coils keep freezing so then I have to turn it off, let them thaw out and then start the whole cycle all over again, run it, coils freeze. Someone is coming out to look at it this afternoon. It's only in the low 80's but like 80% humidity, so can't open the windows. I had it turned off last night and it was 78 in the house this morning which is just gross.

That's the worst. My AC broke at the beginning of the summer and it was fixed in less than 24 hours. Worst day of my life.

Oh no! Our AC went out at work last week. I kept getting warmer and warmer... I finally had to cancel my last few clients for the day.

Hopefully it's an easy and quick fix. It's only 91 here today. Maybe fall is coming after all...

It was at 79 in the house when I got home but they haven't been out to check on it yet. It's all under warranty. It's down to 75 now but it's taking longer than it usually would to cool it off. Obviously not working efficiently.

My cactus balls came today. I can't wait to try them out. It's the little things that make me happy.

Yay! I ordered some stuff from wish and now I have to be patient while I wait for it.

The problem with the person who takes care of all the problems at your house being a friend of the family is that while you can get ahold of them right away, it doesn't necessarily mean you're at the top of their list to get it taken care of. But I need him to get it done because I'll be gone this weekend and it's supposed to be back in the 90's on Sunday and next week.

Ugh. I feel ya.

So what does one eat when one doesn't really want to cook dinner?!?! Pancakes of course and bacon. Lovely applewood bacon.

I had rotisserie chicken with berries, and a bean/carrot/corn/chickpea concoction. Im leaning more towards the South Beach Diet now instead of straight Keto. Im friggen' starving.

I got this amazing bourbon maple syrup at Costco last year... OMG! It’s freaking phenomenal! I shared with the children. I’m a nice Momma.
