It's possible it's the same guy. Are you thinking of the same guys who were working with him on the TD shootout? We see them in the behind-the-scenes featurette, but I don't recall if they were ever specifically named.

I bet he did. In fact, they might be two of the "ex-Navy SEAL buddies" he talks about. The article says they served with Marcus, who first brought them onto Lone.

It sounds like he will be. It mentions that Pete was supposed to attend but that he had a scheduling conflict in New York, probably for his other new movie with Mark Wahlberg about the Boston Marathon bombing. But it mentions he sends his best to Marcus, Mark and Ray so it sounds like Marcus will be there.

I LOVED Coronado when I stayed there, it was great. We stayed at the Loews hotel and you had to drive right by the beach where the SEALS were training. It was cool to see.

You're probably right. He probably suggested it to Nic, he seems pretty collaborative and would want something like that shootout to be as authentic as possible. And Taylor does always mention having a lot of SEAL friends. I wonder if the SEALs he trained with for Savages had a Marcus connection as well. Probably, the Navy SEALs world seems like a small world.

Did anyone else watch The Warfighters yesterday? The music sounded like Explosions in the Sky, but they weren't credited.

I only got to record one of the episodes, but it was well done. Heavy and emotional, though.

I completely forgot it was on. I wonder if it's on demand. Though I'm not sure I'm up for that kind of heavy at the moment. I feel like everything else is a bit too real life heavy right now.

Yeah, I kinda pushed through out of respect for the subject matter and also for Pete, but I wasn't really in the mood for heavy. I only saw the one. I set it to record the series, but I'm not sure when it'll repeat.

I finally finished reading this article. I would love to hear Marcus's side of the story in such detail. I know there are always 3 parts to a story... the two sides, and the truth somewhere in the middle. Very sad.

It is a disappointing situation, because you know most of the issue probably boils down to money. I know people want to put the blame on Marcus but he and Melanie trying to take care of him and giving him gifts but never could get him over to the US...I wonder how much of that was push back from the US Government and they just felt bad they couldn't help. I know he's here now, but it's disappointing they aren't speaking.

Nothing Else Matters

Finally watched LS and man it was brutal. Taylor was amazing. All the guys were. Definitely one of Berg's best.
