He’s actually a really great actor. He has a movie in Netflix called the invitation that is very good. Also on Netflix he is in a series called damnation that is really good. My personal favorite of his is quarry, he leads the show about a hit man in 1970s Memphis. He is going to be phenomenal opposite kitsch.

I have no idea if this means anything for this particular series but I read an interesting statistic today in Variety magazine. Two-thirds of Netflix's 193 million subscribers do not live in the United States. That seems like a lot of foreign subscribers (granted that includes Canada too). Anyway, for a series that takes place in Europe, was filmed in Europe by a European director and film company, Netflix might be where it winds up...

Who knows really - I just thought that statistic was very telling about how the streaming wars now seem to rule the way films/tv are made and accessed.

So where it’s airing in some of the Euro markets is ZDF, who just happens to be Netflix’s main competition. I have no idea if that has any bearing where it will end up here since it’s a different market and Studiocanal is handling international sales.
