She is bitchy, so she suddenly has to go home, great. Just say you have to go home to your family. She owes Matt nothing.

Yeah, Santiago is putting a damper on this episode, and Smash/Noelle. More Tim calling into Lyla's radio show please.

"Hello Glen... Gracie." Hahaha

Who is Chris Kennedy?

I love when the hoodlums meet Buddy. He invites them over for pizza and to watch a movie.

Chris is the Christian radio guy who is about to hook up with Lyla. He's creepily too perfect.

Kyle improving with baby Gracie in bed is SO adorable. I love that poor Tami can't part ways with Gracie. And of course Julie giving her a hard time.

It's nice to see Matt and Landry back together, I feel like Matt gave Landry like no support during the entire murder thing. They like forgot they were friends.

Chris is too perfect and clearly Lyla didn't really want that. She wanted the rough and tumble Tim. I would give any amount of money to see the outline for Tim and Lyla's real season 2 storyline.

Matt talking to Landry about Carlotta.

Tina from Waco... haha. Maybe a Waco foreshadow.

Lyla scolding Tim. Eek.

Tim joking with Herc is my favorite. His laugh and Herc just losing it in that scene is so genuine.

The Smash/Noelle family dinner thing is strange. I don't honestly think that Mama Smash is against the relationship because Noelle is white, I just think she doesn't like Noelle and finds it as a convenient excuse to agree with Noelle's racist parents.

Coach, don't take Mack's advice. You're right, you shouldn't ask Tami to give up her career to stay home.

Lyla's whole Christina good girl thing is clearly just a phase. You can't go back to someone like Chris after you've been with Tim.

The argument with Tami and Eric at the table during dinner when they insist they're not arguing is my favorite too.

Buddy trying to talk himself into trusting Santiago and then taking the Taylor's all his stuff.

The octave of Tim's voice is frightening.

I agree with your observations of Mama Smash in this case. She just doesn't like Noelle.

How could they afford to just live on a coach's salary??

Once you've had Riggs nothing else will do!

I think Coach's make quite a bit in Texas. Our football coaches here were often also gym teachers or health teachers or something.

Part of what bothers me about this season is that they drop stories only to pick them up again. Like Tim pursuing Lyla, just took a five episode meth dealer detour but now they're acting like it's picking right back up.

Matt, you do not love Carlotta.

I've never been to a quinceañera but they are pretty big in this area.

Ugh. The movie theater scene... I have to fast forward through it.

The party and the movie theater scene, I hate to say I just don't care, but they're also uncomfortable.

Tim, your timing is always awful. I like that the party store he goes to to buy the flowers is the same one that is used in season 4 when Becky and Luke meet up and in season 5 when Tim has Stevie and meets up with Becky.

I agree. Not my favorite episode.

Tim stopping to buy Lyla flowers is kind of off. He is not getting the signals she's throwing off.

I don't think Tim often thinks when it comes to Lyla, he just knows he wants her and thinks small gestures might win her over, like helping Santiago or buying her flowers or going to church with her. I suppose this was setting up for something but we just never see it come to fruition.
