You should become Matthew’s manager, maybe you could give him a kick in his lazy butt so he’ll get back to work

I know right? He needs someone that makes him stop making his fans miss him, like "c'mon Matthew! here I have lots of scripts, just decide! your fans need you now."

If Patrick Dempsey and Chris Pratt can return to tv so can Matthew but he won't. I think it has to do with his ego.

I truly think that Matthew doesn’t care about acting anymore. He seems to have lost interest. He’s comfortable with his life right now. He said that he’d be open to returning to a cable TV series like something on HBO with 10 episodes a season, but I can’t see him doing a series with 20 episodes like network tv has. He’s older now, I think he wants to relax and have time to do his own thing. He sounds like he doesn’t want that pressure anymore.

I also think that he has lost interest, but in my opinion I see it more as if he has not been offered something really good or the characters offered are a bit uninteresting. You know, Hollywood is a bit unfair to people of a certain age because they are betting on many other new actors or those that are selling. Besides, I also believe that as things stand today, many antis will bring afloat about that event in 2011 and combined with the pressure of everything, well... I think that in the end, not having him back is better.

Yes. That’s the main reason I think that Matthew has lost interest, he’s not being offered good roles that have inspired him to continue acting. Almost every actor’s career slows down after 50, some of the biggest stars in the world, even top movie actors, don’t get the offers for the kind of roles they used to get when they were younger. Some actresses saw their offers already start to dry up in their late 30’s. Elizabeth Taylor was doing bad B movies by the 1970’s. She’d been the number one box office star in the 1960’s. When she reached 50 her acting career was basically over. It’s the same story with almost every actor. Even Tom Hanks doesn’t get the kind of leading roles that he used to.

Really? Too bad you couldn't meet him but at least you saw him.
I wonder what he was doing in an entertainment company |
