Totally true! He deserves to be in a project that he is passionate about and that makes him feel comfortable. Although we are desperate to have him back, he must take his time to decide. Ugh, let's hope

Exactly. Matthew isn’t the kind of actor who does any role just to get a paycheck like some do. He has the luxury of only working when he feels inspired by a character, it would be selfish of us to expect him to take roles that he doesn’t enjoy doing. People who have to work at a job they have no passion for are always miserable. Matthew is at the stage of his life and career where he doesn’t have to please everyone else. It’s ok if he takes his time, we don’t want him choosing a show that would get canceled anyway. Then he’ll get blamed for its failure. I have a feeling he’ll find something that will be right for him eventually and that’s when he will make a comeback.

True. Besides, I think it would not be good if he was miserable in his work. I think that it's something that can be evident, although if one tries to hide it, idk. Ugh yes, you know how the press sometimes some fans, and of course, the haters can be. So yes, it's preferable that he likes what he's going to do. I hope so.

I guess he didn’t find a script that he liked, so he turned down all of the offers that he received, unfortunately. Matthew has always been very picky. He said that he’d never return to TV, so I think it will take a very special project to lure him back. Hopefully I’m wrong and we will hear something soon.

I can’t imagine Matthew returning to TV unless it’s a really good lead role, he’s not going to waste his time with small supporting roles at this stage of his career. He was the lead in two huge iconic hit shows, I can’t see him settling for anything less.

He should do a cable network shows. Many A list actors are doing it. I watch Jack Ryan with the guy from the office. The role was written for Matthew. The show suck big time. Matthew should have been cast. I was hoping he got Batman but the glitter guy from Twilight got it instead. Maybe he do a thriller he is 100000000x hotter than most actors. I need to vent.

I agree. I think Matthew would be open to doing a show on HBO/Showtime or the streaming services like Netflix/Prime if he really liked the role, but not on basic cable. The shows on those networks really suck now, they’re like trashy soap operas and the ratings are pathetic. I think most actors just care about wanting attention and doing any role they can get. They take just any offer. Matthew has never been interested in that. I think Batman has become a joke. They just want younger actors now, look how young they made the last Spider Man after they kicked out Andrew Garfield. I hear you. I feel the same way, it’s very frustrating. I barely want to watch most shows/movies now. The quality has really gone downhill. He’s definitely way hotter and way more talented.

The script he was getting were from regular networks, not cable. I know he was reading scripts. I don’t want to trash cable. Josh is on cable network, why not Matthew who is a better actor.

I think it’s because Matthew is obviously not interested in any of the scripts that he received. He’s never done any guest roles in TV shows, not even network TV. I read that many shows have offered him guest roles or recurring roles like Josh has done and he turned down all of them. I think he only considers lead or co-lead roles now if he’s going to do TV. He’s not interested otherwise. Josh’s role is only a smaller supporting role, he won’t be in every episode from what I’ve read, only recurring, and it sounds like he’s only been signed for one season so far. I don’t think Matthew is interested in that, especially not when he said he won’t do TV ever again, it’s going to take something special to excite him and motivate him to work again. He turned down the lead in Person of Interest, so he obviously has very high standards. Josh actually wants to do movies and write/produce them, but I think he enjoys working/acting, Matthew has always said that he prefers to be home with his family when given the choice.

Let’s hope he’s getting bored staying home by now and is open to considering offers.
