Yeah they are all working remotely, if you call it working, they just left a few people here to handle all the work and associated problems and worse my boss only emails me things I am already getting from the University so he is emailing me useless stuff It is very frustrating but yeah I have just been making decisions without them because remote work actually means not really doing anything useful Still no toilet paper in the stores and food is getting hard to find especially bread, eggs, water bottles... I go in the store every morning to empty shelves but we will be fine. People should social distance to slow the spread and not panic and hoard. China is finally showing progress and recovering and we will have that too. Yes the worst is yet to come but we are buying time to prepare by social distance. At least at my work I have my own lab and office so it is easy to keep away from few that are still here. Keep safe everyone!

I am still going to work as well, but now we get to do video call assessments, which is nice! Yeah it is frustrating that people are hoarding, especially hand sanitizer and such

I finally got the last ingredient to make my own hand sanitizer I am a bit frustrated, because so many people are gone the people that are here have to do some of their work and the University just said in the virtual town hall meeting they will continue to pay the at home people through the end of April. Of course I will get paid but also I envy all the people that just get to stay home and they don't even need to be working at home to get paid. I guess less of them here means I have a less chance of getting sick but also I am so worn down from the extra work, which is not good either. It is too bad they don't just make them take turns coming in or something. Sorry just really frustrating carrying the load and taking on all the responsibilities when the bosses get to sit at home and be safe.
The good part is I have the run of the place for the most part

Today I came home for lunch and took a nap before going back and no one noticed Of course tomorrow is our big Zoom meeting, where everyone for home gets on the computer and meets so they can find out how things are going without them Hopefully things get back to normal soon, it is exhausting doing the bulk of the work!

Done with my meeting, wow they are out of touch and really don't want to come in I guess I can't blame them, I would stay home if I could too, but it really feels like they should come in, they were talking about people writing journals so they can document what is going on so they can write papers about it. I was wondering why they don't just come in and write the journals themselves We all have enough to do.

Lanie, that sounds exhausting , stay safe and take more naps whenever you can .

I'm feeling better, the first days were awful and I was kind of paranoid, but I'm okay now. It just took some adjustments. Working on getting back to my translations and thesis.

Did you get the virus and sick? Or just adjusting to social distancing and stuff shutting down. We had another virtual meeting and really the people staying home have no understanding of what it is like to social distance and work and to worry about everyone you go near and everything you touch. The told the one guy he needs to sign it but when i have to I bring my own pen and still cringe because my had touches the paper when I sign in. Things are a bit weird because cases are still pretty low here but starting to rise. One person died in our hospital and 8 employees got the virus so far. Testing is taking a week to ten days! They need to make it quicker.

Had no issues adjusting, since I've always preferred stayed at home than going out anyways.
