I finally found the song that sounds like Blank Space. It is Don't Throw It Away

OK, I was listening to the album again, and I can see how you guys think “Love Her” sounds like “Love Yourself”, but they are also different. (I also haven’t really listened to LY that much, so I can’t really compare it that much).

And let’s not accuse the boys of stealing songs. Like Jordyn said, so many songs over the years have had very similar sounds & melodies. Songwriters draw inspiration from so many things & people, subconsciously, they might not even realize they’re doing it.

Examples of similar sounding songs & melodies:

“Ice, Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice


“Halo” by Beyoncé

“Already Gone” by Kelly Clarkson

I don't think anybody has accused them of stealing? Just saying they sound familiar

Also, I wouldn't use the first two songs to compare the situations, because didn't they cause a lawsuit?

I always thought "ice ice baby" was sampled from "under pressure"

I don't think they "sampled" it But who knows A lot of times when there are lawsuits over similar music, I can never hear the likeness

The only one I really hear is Love her sounding like Haylees song and its just the background music. It happens often, its really not a big deal

5sos actually ending up giving credit to duran duran after the fact when they realized their song sounded a lot like one of duran durans songs. I think it could happen subconsciously

Have you guys noticed that all the songs on the album seem pretty short? They’re anywhere between 2:58-3:30. Most songs run between 3:30-4:00. I’ll be listening to the song, bopping my head along to the music, then, all of a sudden, it’s over!

I didn't notice that. Under 3 mins is very shorty for a song though
