Not sure if this is old or new

Quote:
Low budget teen vampire movie, Twilight, is released in cinemas in the UK on Friday. Kristen Stewart, who plays one of the main characters Bella Swan, says she finds instant fame hard to deal with, it was fun working with British actor Robert Pattinson and that she has similar traits to her character.

Did you have any idea when you signed up for this movie how big it was going to become?
No. I mean, we knew that it had a really devoted fan base but we thought it was pretty small and thought it was exclusive. Like a culty thing. It’s a small studio and small budget. We all thought it was rather quaint. It’s a character-driven piece. We didn’t have a whole bunch of money for all the stunts and effects. We had no idea.

There’s been all this madness following you in America on the promotional tour for Twilight. Did you find that easy or hard to deal with?
I’m really not good at it. Some people are great at it. It’s like the other side of the job. I can’t believe I have to do it. It makes it easier because I’m really proud of the movie and I’m a fan of the book as well.
So it’s weird to see people mainly my age flipping out over Rob [Pattinson] walking into the room. He shifts in his seat and they all just go crazy. It’s a little daunting.

How do you deal with that? Do you take the mickey out of Robert all the time for the reaction he gets?
Oh my god. All the time. Constantly. It’s like, ‘Rob. Touch your hair again’.

The two of you have an amazing chemistry in the film. Did you have to try out with a lot of actors before that?
I had four guys that I auditioned with. They cut it down to who they really liked. There was no question by the end of them. He [Robert Pattinson] was the last one to come in. He understood the character. He didn’t come in and try to be this perfect looking being. He actually looked like he was thinking about something and he actually looked at me, instead of just hoping that he looked good at that moment and was fixated on his pose. He was quite perfect for it.

Your first scene together is almost quite comical. Robert Pattinson almost looks pained trying to control his feelings for you. Did that make you laugh?
It’s so funny. We thought we were being so intense and serious. We watched the film and everyone was laughing. It was like, ‘Oh my god. This is actually quite funny’. We didn’t picture it like that at all.

The film does actually have quite a few laughs in it, mainly from the individual characters at your high school. Was that intentional?
They were allowed to go for it. It was so cool. They could have been very undefined kids that go to school. They’re all individuals. Angela’s a photographer. I don’t think that’s in the book.

Your character, Bella Swan, is very intense when she first arrives and very moody. How did you get into character?
Yeah. She’s sort of happy being solitary. She doesn’t intentionally try to push people away. I think sometimes when you’re quiet and shy, you just come across pensive. I can fully relate to that. People are always asking me what’s wrong and I’m like, ‘Wow. Nothing. Absolutely nothing is wrong’. It’s weird.
I think there’s something innate. People are attracted to her. It’s weird. We always joked about it. If she were to become a vampire, she would be the ultimate queen vampire because she’s strong. Nobody can get into her mind. Edward [Cullen] can’t read her mind. She has all of these traits that are superior. But yet she’s completely unaware of them.

There are lots of fun parts in this film too, especially the stunts when you go into the tree tops. Was that fun to do or was that done in a studio?
We were in the trees the whole time. We had one day that they added on at the end of green screen, and I don’t even think they use it. Me and Rob probably look ridiculous and confused, like, ‘What are we doing in front of this big, green blob?’. So we were actually in the trees. It was cool. It was freezing cold. If I was afraid of heights then it would probably would have been a problem.

Kristen Stewart was talking to Newsbeat entertainment reporter Sarah Jane Griffiths.

OMFG!! LMAO. I love Rob's badge!!! Kristen's is so simple. ANd I like that

Quote:
UK, December 19, 2008 - Vampire flick Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as a pair of star-crossed teens, and IGN recently caught up with them to discuss the hit film's romantic chemistry, sexual tension - and dealing with crazy screaming fans.

IGN: Did you have any idea just how devoted the book's fans are?

Kristen Stewart: I knew how important the book was to a small group of people but I had no idea how widespread it was. I felt I was one of them, initially - then I realised I wasn't as crazy as most of them.

IGN: Were you prepared for the hysteria at the premieres?

Robert Pattinson: I don't think anything can prepare you for that. I don't know why I'm not getting used to it because it's happened absolutely everywhere we've been with Twilight, people screaming. 'Screaming' and 'Twilight' seem to belong in the same sentence. I'm completely overwhelmed with it.

IGN: Presumably that means the film has worked?

Pattinson: Yeah, because they'd probably kill us if not. In fact they'd definitely kill us. They almost killed me before the thing came out…

IGN: Rob, even though you were in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has your life now completely changed?

Pattinson: In my head it hasn't. I don't know, little weird things like people following you to your house, that's strange. If I go on the tube, hardly anyone knows who I am but then you go to a premiere, all the screaming, it almost feels like they're paid to be there! 'All the screamers turn up at this spot…' And seeing a bus go by with your face on - that's scary. It's like being in 1984. It's not good for someone who suffers from extreme paranoia. But luckily the buses don't go past my house too much.

IGN: Your mutual chemistry is crucial to the film - how did you sustain it?

Pattinson: I used to sometimes just run into Kristen's bedroom naked, just to keep shocking her… No, I don't know, it's funny because all the romantic scenes were kind of - are you better at [answering] this than I am?

Stewart: No, I'm so terrible at it…

Pattinson: It worried us because we both were wearing contact lenses and so much of it was to do with eye contact. And these lenses were like masks on our eyes –

Stewart: – like walls!

Pattinson: I was really worried that there wouldn't be anything, so it's a relief that people felt there was.

IGN: Still, because Edward is a vampire and has to control his urges, the romance ends up very chaste…

Stewart: In my view, even though the actual act isn't shoved in your face, I think it's just as abundant. Watching sexualised films is the same as films about wanting to have sex, there's no difference.

Pattinson: If you've ever tried watching a feature length porno, you know, it's dull…!

IGN: Rob, how did they end up using a couple of your own songs on the soundtrack?

Pattinson: One of them is written by two friends of mine so that was one of the reasons. I'd grown up with loads of musicians so I thought that would be good for them. I mean, I don't have any plans to release an album - there's such a stigma attached to actors who release music. Maybe I'd do it anonymously - or wait until I'm unemployable.

IGN: What can you tell us about Twilight sequels? There are three more books to go…

Stewart: I believe we start shooting New Moon the beginning of next year. Usually I only get to play someone for, like, six weeks. I do little movies and when I'm done there's always this grieving process. So to get to follow [Bella] for an incredibly long time - or at least for the second one - I'm rather excited.

Pattinson: It's terrifying because we really didn't have anything to lose, because it was the first one and the timing was perfect. Now it's harder to live up to the amount of hype, especially in America. Next year everyone will be judging us.

Stewart: The press might be a little tougher but hopefully the process will be the same.

Pattinson: I think it will be impossible, sorry…

IGN: So do you worry about typecasting?

Stewart: I guess the only thing to do is do very different things in-between. If it was just Twilight for the rest of my life as an actor I would be quite miserable. But it's not - I actually just got cast as Joan Jett in a movie called The Runaways. That's also quite daunting.

Pattinson: It makes it a little daunting to decide what your next job is. But if you choose things carefully I don't think you can get typecast - just do good movies.

Twilight is released in the UK today.

Looks like pre K payed off well for her!

Ok I know this is long over due here is my account of meeting the dazzling Kristen Stewart on November 20,2008 in NYC.

In the twilight of a chilly afternoon in NYC I met Kristen Stewart at the David Letterman Studios on November 20,2008.

I arrived at the studio around 4:00PM in the afternoon being they tape the show in the late afternoon. My friend had called me later in the day saying how she would meet me about 4:30PM. So I decided to get to the David Letterman Studio just in case there was a big line and wait.

I made my way to the backstage door where I saw a barricades and a small group of people lined up. One side was for the paparazzi while the other side was for fans and autograph hunters.

So I stood by the small group of people and waited. I was glad there was not a huge crowd. Most of the people who were there were waiting for Stephen Colbert from the Cobert Report who was also another guest on Letterman that night. A lot of the people didn't know who Kristen Stewart was. Or they were their to get her autograph for a friend or family member being they were Twilight fans.

One girl I talked to wasn't a fan of her's and was only getting her autograph for her cousin who was a huge Twilight fan. It was funny this one guy actually had a few Twilight posters he was handing out for free to the crowd that he got at the Big Apple Con Convention that week once he found out that Kristen was apart of Twilight and that people were their to get her autograph.

The woman asked me if I was here to see Stephen Colbert and I told her how I was here to see Kristen Stewart. At first she didn't know who she was so I was telling her all about Kristen and the second I mentioned Into The Wild she knew who she was. She then told me oh you just missed her.

At first I was crushed and said "oh I missed her leaving after she was done filming." but then the woman told me how she saw Kristen arrive and that she had not left yet so I was really excited that I didn't miss seeing her.

It was great being the guy next to me was a huge fan of Kristen's and even had his Panic Room DVD for her to sign. He told me that Panic Room was the movie that made him a fan of her's.

About 4:30 more people were starting to show up as the day went on and these group of girls were there who were not only Twilight fans but Kristen fans as well and knew all about her other works like Speak. So it was nice to have other Kristen fans there with me.

However it was kind of crazy being a lot of people who were their were Autograph Hunters. Those are people who track down celebrities and then get their autograph only to sell it later on Ebay or something.

Eventually my friend arrive and we hung out and waited in the cold. It was fun we talked about Twilight and other movies and celebrity encounters people had experience.

The about 5:10 we saw two back SUV pull up and park the paparazzi started going nuts with camera flashing. I saw Stephen Colbert walk out and hurry to his car and in a flash he was gone. Most of the crowd was upset being he did not stop for autographs and most people were there to see him.

So a few people from the crowd left after that. Then around 5:30 I saw the paparazzi getting ready again. The stage door opened and all of the sudden I saw this guy come out of the back stage door.

I was so excited it was non other then Michael Angarano Kristen Stewart boyfriend. He was so cute. I saw Michael practically run to the SUV being I think he was dressed in a short sleeve T shirt and it was freezing out. It was pretty funny a lot of people were like who was that.

A few seconds after that the paparazzi started going nuts again with camera flashing and I saw Kristen leave the studio. She was dressed in jeans a black tank top and a leather jacket complete with her signature converse sneakers in white.

Kristen posed for the paparazzi and then after that started making her way towards the barricade to sign some autographs. I was so excited. However it was a little scary because people and the Autograph Hunters started pushing and literally the barricade started moving and I was almost crushed. Security had to tell people to stop pushing.

It was a small crowd but really crazy. Kristen made her way down the line was right in front of me. She is even more gorgeous in real life and very tiny. It is amazing how one minute she looks so grown up and the next she looks like an innocent young child. It is amazing to think that she is only 18.

Kristen sighed my Twilight Soundtrack CD. I then asked her for a photo. She said sure. The woman next to me was going to take it but being they were pressed for time I think her manager or publicist said "I'll take it." then Kristen and I posed for the photo.

Her manager/publicist said "Ok 1...2...3" we took the photo and her manager/publicist handed me back my camera. I then said to Kristen "Thank you so much." and she said to me "You too" It was very sweet and endearing the way she said it. I honestly wish I had said more to her in regards to her acting but the crowd was crazy so I was lucky I got a word in edge wise.

Kristen then made her way further down the line signing autographs and taking photos.

Kristen is a sweetheart even in the freezing cold she signed every autograph and posed for every photo! I felt so bad for her the poor girl was so jet lagged from all of the Twilight press tours. Especially from flying into NY the night before from CA and must have been really tired but she was very sweet and kind to everyone!

After she took her time with everyone she then walked over to the big SUV got in and took off.

Honestly I can't say anything bad about the girl! Really is an amazing person! What a beautiful sweet gentle soul!

It was wonderful to meet her being I have been a fan of her's for a very long time. It is still really surreal for me to think that I met her! Never in a millions years did I think I would meet Kristen Stewart one of my favorite actresses. I wish her nothing but the best in life! November 20,2008 was a dazzling day and one I will never forget.

Here are some photo I took that night at David Letterman Studios in NYC.

Me with the dazzling Bella Kristen Stewart

Video I took from the event. (In the video you sort of see me I am wearing my beige scarf and around 35 seconds you hear her manager/publicist say 1 2 3 being she took the photo and you hear me say to Kristen after we take a photo together "Thank you so much" and she said's to me "You Too")
