Think they need a chill pill... And its a lot easier to blame one and of course they mention Twilight and Rob... Yeah, that sucks for sure...
And yeah, it started it all, but none of the series are the same... They are different in their own way... But dont think its not fair to blame one series for making the YA movies dying...!!
Yeah, we are a lucky fandom for sure... And agree... Lets leave it at that...!!!

I think that the movie studios have been trying to recapture "Twilight's" success and Rob and Kristen's chemistry without fully realizing that what happened with "Twilight" is capturing lightning in a bottle and that "Twilight" fans are loyal fans.

I went to see Allegiant and enjoyed it tremendously.
Why is it not making as much money as the others
in the series? I don't really know. Why are these
fans not as loyal as Twillight fans? Why didn't Vampire
Academy fans support that picture? Why Why Why?
The Hunger Games movies all did well. Why?
Allegiant might do gangbusters overseas-it's too early
in the game to call YA dead.

I think that poor reviews aren't going to help "Allegiant" and I think that franchise suffered because it is a lot like "The Hunger Games" but the "Hunger Games" had better promotion and better release dates, big blockbuster movies aren't usually released in March and I think that someone seemed to overlook the fact that "Twilight" fans were a group of people that TPTB needed to go and see and like this movie but, it isn't happening. I think that there have been too many YA movies who are desperate to be the next "Twilight" which made the success of "The Hunger Games" possible which has lead to an overload in the opinion of some in YA movies. "Twilight" in my opinion does not get the credit deserves because it set the bar high as far as YA movies.

It's true that Twilight did so well, that all the other studios just
assumed that every YA book would do that well in the theater.
Well, I guess they have learned their lessons the hard way.
Twilight was lightening in a bottle-that only happens once...
great cast made by film-makers who really cared about the books
themselves and keeping true to what the fans wanted to see. Shoot,
they even asked us online to tell them what we wanted to see. And
we did. That is a rare thing indeed.
