Aw, I loved that Ricky called Adrian to warn her. Even if he doesn't want to admit it; it's so obvious that he cares. They are def friends imo. Even if he doesn't care about her in the way she cares for him.

They still have a sort of connection, despite how they feel about each other. The fact that they turn to each other, and look out for the other constantly, means a lot. Their relationship is only complicated by the many issues that they face outside of it (Adrian's dad, reputation, Ricky's issues, etc).
