Amy Juergens

Amy used to be just like any other teenager. She had two best friends (Lauren and Madison), and she played French Horn in her high school marching band. She even dreamed of attending Julliard someday. All that kind of fell apart after she slept with resident bad-boy Ricky Underwood one night at Band Camp. After she found out she was pregnant with Ricky's baby, Amy shared the news with her BFFs, who betrayed her secret to the whole school. Ouch! On top of that, her parents have decided to call it quits after fifteen years of marriage. Needless to say, Amy's first year of high school is not at all going as she had pictured. Her salvation seems to be in her doting boyfriend, Ben, who's willing to do just about anything for her, even marry her! But will she finally be able to stand on her own, or will Amy end up replying on Ben to solve all her problems?

Because she's dealing with a lot for her age. We're proud of her.

Because she has a butterfly on her door.
Because she made the best decision for HER.
Because she just wants to be normal.
Because she stood up for herself.
Because she went back to her old school.
Because she is handling the pregnancy without any help.
Because she is the sweet young girl who writes poetry about the moon and teacups.
Because she gets excited over $20.
Because she got a job at a daycare center.
Because she looked cute placing the overalls on her unborn son.
Because she's keeping the baby.
Because 12 hours of labor was well worth it.
Because she's new at the whole mom thing.
Because Amy has friends too.
Because Amy wants to do right by John.
Because she is "the woman".

Shailene "Shai" Woodley was born in November 15, 1991 in Simi Valley, California. She is the eldest child and only daughter of Lori and Loni Woodley. Currently she is a senior at Simi Valley High School and will be graduating in June 2009. Shai has been acting since the age of five and already has quite an impressive list of credits on her resume! When she was fifteen years old, she was diagnosed with the spinal condition scoliosis (a curvature of the spine) which required her to wear a back brace for two years. She has a very loving personality and is a very outgoing person. Shai enjoys writing scripts and making home movies, scrap booking, and taking pictures. Shai is very ecofriendly and often encourages others to do so when she speaks out at events.
