Railway Arms (Off Topic) #42: Where is the Sun?

Apt title I thought

I can't even comprehend temperatures like that, Janet :goof:

Lost in Translation 02-08-2014 09:27 AM

At those temperatures you side-eye the world and call in sick. Stay at home and watch tv, I say.

Apt, indeed, Tracey. Funnily enough even though Vancouver is a lot milder than us we get more sun. You can tell it's royally cold out when the sky is blue.

crazy_diamond 02-08-2014 01:13 PM

That is strange...

Ever time I listen to the Olympics today, keep hearing Vancouver's name, kept thinking yes I want to go back there!

Violent Delights 02-08-2014 06:16 PM

I would, Janet.

Lost in Translation 02-08-2014 07:23 PM

Tracey, I don't blame you. It is such a lovely city. If you ever get back that way you should take a few days and visit Alberta. The Rockies are just breathtaking.

Dave, I know you (you're a bad influence) and that seems like something you'd do.

crazy_diamond 02-09-2014 05:49 AM

Thanks for the tip Janet , hopefully when I go back, I'll visit there :)

Lost in Translation 02-09-2014 07:46 AM

I'm not sure if you headed to Vancouver Island but it's also stunning there. My mother and I were reminiscing about Buschart Gardens yesterday and it's been 18 years since we went! Now that's staying power.

I always vote for staying home and watching tv

I forgot to go there last time

It's all good, twice I've gone to Victoria and managed to spend one day in Vancouver in all that time.

crazy_diamond 02-10-2014 04:46 AM

Blimey

Lost in Translation 02-10-2014 07:38 AM

I was visiting my sister so she showed us more of Vancouver Island because it was her home.

Violent Delights 02-10-2014 01:02 PM

well that's fair

Lost in Translation 02-10-2014 01:06 PM

I think so but I'm still laughing at the fact that two seadoos being stolen made the front page in that city.

crazy_diamond 02-10-2014 01:35 PM

big news ;)

Lost in Translation 02-10-2014 01:52 PM

Huge!!!

Violent Delights 02-11-2014 12:33 PM

two what?

Lost in Translation 02-11-2014 04:50 PM

Seadoos, I think they're basically jet skis.

crazy_diamond 02-12-2014 05:14 AM

Don't leave home without it ;)

Violent Delights 02-12-2014 01:20 PM

like my iPod

Lost in Translation 02-12-2014 05:30 PM

But iPods are just a bit smaller, don't you think?

crazy_diamond 02-13-2014 04:45 AM
