It took me by surprise, too, but I think that's a testament to both RC's abilities as an actor and the writers. I mean I really enjoyed Gold/Rumples from Skin Deep (I think that was the turning point of enjoying a villain to actually loving him) but I wasn't expecting to ship him with anyone.

Tami, I think you'll enjoy it. Give it a few episodes. I must admit that I had seen the pilot but by 1x02 aired I was easily distracted, so I dropped it until last week's episode where I watched it and really enjoyed it (even though it wasn't focused on the main characters) and went back and watched every episode from 1x02 onward.
