So this week was fun... Monday I was procrastinating by watching Doctor Who (as one is wont to do) when all of a sudden Barbara freezes in place. Me: *presses ctrl+alt+delete COME ON, YOU!
Computer: *restarts*
Me: oh, it's okay. *starts windows normally*
Computer: *blue screen*
Me: AHHHH! *restarts*
This happens a couple of times before I do go into safe mode.
Me: Phew, it's working in safe mode
Computer: *looks normal than blue screen*
Me: Son of a

*restarts computer, there's nothing on the screen*
Please let it be my hard drive that died...

It wasn't, I went to a store and bought a beautiful hard drive and after class that night I came home and installed it, to no avail. So I'm discussing it with my mom when she goes "could it be your motherboard?" First of all, I should have gotten that right away, and secondly, how does my mom know about motherboards? So yesterday (on my first day off since the incident of '10) I brought my computer to the store and they took it in, saying they'd have to send it to the manufacturer and they'd call when it was ready. After that I went over to Sue's to borrow her old (decrepit) laptop so I could write my paper (due Tuesday: dear Thanksgiving, while I should be ethically opposed to you, thank you for delaying everything a day) and the store called going "they're not going to replace the motherboard and CPU [did I mention that was gone too?] come in and we'll replace it"
Here I am on my new computer,and it's pretty.

Dave, nope- except for a paper due Tuesday and work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Otherwise, I'm your's. Oh, and tomorrow is our Thanksgiving dinner, so I'll be away a bit sometime in the afternoon or evening.
