- I love how 2008 was muted and cold-looking compared to 1981. At first I thought it was a commentary on Alex's life, but now I think it's a comment on life in general, there seems to be no urgency, no need to try and make things right at this instant.

- How did I not notice that statue on the building's edge as Molly was reading Sam's file?

- I love the fact that we're introduced to the Quattro before we see Gene. Speaking of Gene, I love that we see his boots first. Clearly they wanted us to see the legend and not the man... there has to be a better way to say that.

- "three armed bastards" "Blimey, if that skirt was hitched any higher I could see what you had for breakfast" and "My reputation precedes me!" You gotta love Gene.

-Pong! At least Gene's priorities are straight.

- Loving the fact that this shot mimics the James Bond poster that Hunt has in his office.

-Aww, Chris and Shaz are precious.

Ray, on the other hand, is... well, Ray.

-When the perp said to Gene "don't think the future includes you" do you think that line was loaded? Or do you think it was a happy coincidence?

-loving Alex walking into Luigi's for the first time... I don't even know.

-Ugliest couch ever, y/y?

- "I need Layton alive... he's my destiny" everyone's heads whip around.

- I just noticed this for the first time, when Chris and Ray watched Alex and Gene having their spat, Ray said "oh no". Gotta love him for seeing the writing on the wall.

-What do you all think of Molly filling in as the testcard girl in Ashes to Ashes?

I might as well do the same now, seeing as it's on Netflix

but they all seem to be cut down to 51/52 minutes, which I know is wrong, so I'll just watch it at home later

I loved the pilot

- love the mysterious opening shots and then knowing it was Alex's daughter appearing.

- great first scenes with Gene and Alex

- loved that Ray and Chris got it completely wrong about Alex

- Ray knows all

- The clown is scary

- aww Luigi's

- Alex and Gene do like their arguments and their drinks

- Love Shaz as a new character

- Crackin' music

Loved it from beginning to end..
