There's a website called celebheights.com where someone posted that they had been an extra on the Skulls and Josh Jackson is barely 5'10", which struck me as so ridiculous, but I always think of it when I think of this movie.

So glad you liked the movie. It was really good and I loved the fact that Josh was the lead. He did an amazing job. I'm with you on the rowing and the running, very nice.

I think Josh did have a late growth spurt. I often thought he didn't quite look his full 6'2" while filming DC. When you see pics of him and Katie together, he does not look much taller than her and she is 5'10". And I remember Kelly Rippa making a comment a couple of years ago when he had a guest appearance on Live, that he gets taller every time she sees him.

Katie Holmes is listed as 5'9. Josh was 5'11 in D3, between 6'0-6'1 during the DC years (1998-2003.)

I knew she was 5'9", so not sure why I put 5'10". It was late I guess.

Yeah I guess I hadn't really thought about that when this came out it was before Paul hit it big with Fast and Furious, so had just assumed he was the lead. It was such a thrill as I began watching and was like "Ooh there is Josh already" and a few minutes later after the brilliant rowing scene realised he was in fact the focus for the film.
I think I've decided its the best way to go into watching a Josh film

It would very much be a nice surprise to realize he was the lead. And he was great as the lead. I loved every scene he was in.

And he gets to play a character close to his own age, which was probably nice after playing younger on Dawson's.

I also like how different Luke is from Pacey or Charlie Conway. The same way Cole is nothing like Peter or Pacey.

Considering he was only 20/21 shooting this film he did such a great job leading it. He always seems to have such confidence and charisma as an actor that can't help but bleed a little in to his roles.

Agreed Sandy K, as I watch more of his stuff its great to see the differences and nuances in the performances.

I'm glad as he has gotten older he has been able to choose more diverse acting opportunities such as Cole in the Affair. I really hope off the back of this, that will continue to be the case.

I ended up not watching The Skulls the other night and watched more of S3 of Dawson's Creek, but I can see The Skulls in my near future, like perhaps on the weekend.

It sounds like a solid plan for the weekend if you ask me
I've yet to decide on my next Josh movie for viewing

I would start with the ones that are easiest to get your hands on. Check Netflix to see what's on there. Right now here in Canada there are two Josh movies on Netflix.

The other suggestion is to watch some of the movies from when he was a kid like the Mighty Ducks movies. Keep us posted though.

A while ago I got Shadows In The Sun for £2.99 plus postage from Amazon - the best £2.99 I ever spent! (My son has Amazon Prime now so most things from Amazon are free p/p).

Lol, I forgot that The Skulls had direct-to-video sequels.

I actually own the 1st one by itself. Then I bought the combo of I and I and then I saw the combo for I, I and III so of course had go buy that. I have yet go watch the 3rd one. The main character in the 2nd one is the guy who played AJ in Dawson's Creek.

So I actually own 3 copies of the the original.
