Just watched the pilot and The same old story on the first disc of my dvd set. Going to go watch Bob Orci's diary for the umpteeth time. Mum gone to bed - I think she got sick of Fringe. Peter and Olivia had great chemistry even in the early episodes.

I thought I had watched Bob Orci's diary after you mentioned that was where they talked about casting Josh, but I was disappointed with what they said. All they said was that Josh was the last one cast. I would have liked more detail around how they chose him or how it came to be or something more. Either that or I did not see the right footage

I can't watch Peter and Olivia's first scene without thinking about that very NC17 Fanfic of that scene.

I liked the scene where Bob and Josh talked, It didn't last long but it was quite amusing. That was when I really sat up and noticed what a funny intelligent guy Josh was. There was a lot of footage of how they did the make up for the passengers on the plane and the shooting in the freezing temperatures and thick snow.

I think that's the one I saw. I guess I was expecting more info about how Josh came to get the part. I feel like they talked about/with the other cast members more, but I wonder if it's because those interviews were done early on before the show aired and Josh had yet to be cast in the role of Peter which is why there is no interview with him.

Well in Bob Orci's diary he was basically making a documentary on the making of the pilot. He went round talking to the cast and crew who were going about the business of making the pilot. The main cast he spoke to were Mark Valley, Jason Butler Harner and Josh.
