After S2, D/J never made sense to me. Then again, they never became a real couple after that, they tried and failed miserably five seconds into trying to be a couple again lol. Them sleeping together at the start of S6 definitely didn't make sense but they just THREW them on each other just to say they finally slept together. Only to wipe their butt with it by having Dawson have a girlfriend. Besides them always falling apart so quickly, it was like a brother and sister dating. Joey never had chemistry with another man like she did with Pacey. One of the many reasons some (or really, the same bitter poster) on this site can't even talk about Dawson/Joey or Pacey/Andie without being passive aggressive about P/J. They drive almost all the DC talk on here, even in D/J and P/A threads, just saying.

Only to wipe their butt with it, lol. I completely agree about Joey/Dawson. After s2, they never worked.

VANITYFAIR: Inside the Thrilling, Chaotic Writers’ Room of Dawson’s Creek

That was a great article. Thanks for that.

It was an interesting article. I like how KW is still supporting PJ
The vanity fair article feels like a little bit of retcon - there were Pacey and Joey scenes from ep one of s3.
It only makes sense since the majority out there were/are Pacey/Joey fans.
It's hard to not be a P/J fan, they have insane chemistry.

I also think p/j had the best writing with maybe pacey/andie in 2nd place.
Maybe it's more about the writing for Pacey. I think he was the more interesting character and therefore the writing was more creative.
I think the writing for Pacey was yuck with Tamara. :)
