Jen was the best friend he had in S3, hands down. She saw him so clearly. She recognize his true heart even before he did. When he was down, Jen was by his side. When things fell apart, Jen supported him. She was even the one who helped him through the transition of being broken hearted over Andie and realizing he was falling for Joey by offering to have no-strings attached sex with him.

Now that's a true friend.

In that episode, he equates himself to Ducky and Jen tells him it's a good thing because Ducky makes the girl feel good about herself and comes to her rescue in the end. I think if there's a female equivalent to that, then Jen was definitely Pacey's Ducky.

^So true! Jen was a great female link for Pacey to Joey. Pacey always had women around him in one form or another, and Jen turned out to be a solid, non-sexual connection who just happened to become a great friend for him. Loved their banter, too!
