The human moment gets me every time. I think it was the first time anyone really saw Jen, the real Jen. Or the first time anyone took the time to look at her and realize that she wasn't just the pretty girl from the big city, come to cause trouble.

I love the chemistry between Josh and Michelle, I think it was somewhat underrated on the show, we needed more PJen!

I love Pacey and Jen. The most poignant scene for me was when Jen was sick and Pacey comforted her. And what is great too is that Jen kept it together and then she broke down to Pacey.

One question that went through my head, Of all the people she could have broken to, why Pacey?

I love that scene between them, and I love that Pacey was the person in whom she confided her pain and her fear.


I think it was probably because Pacey and Jen were always on a level playing field, always one the outside, so they shared that common bond. Jen said to Jack in that episode that she always felt like she didn't belong, and I think Pacey went through a lot of that as well, so they understood each other in that respect. When she was dying, he made everything about her and not his own fear. I look back to the scene where he first came into her hospital room after everyone found out. She tells him to wipe the fake smile off his face and he eases the tension by making a joke. He didn't treat her any differently than he always had. I think with that single act, he made Jen feel like she could feel whatever she needed to feel, and be whoever she needed to be, around him. If she wanted to laugh, they'd laugh. If she needed to cry, he'd hold her while she did.

They were both so down-trodden about the Prom, and about their lives. It was appropriate that they commiserate with one another in that scene.

Now that is a spin-off I would watch. Especially if you throw Jackers (and maybe Drue :flowers) into the mix. All of them in NYC after Jen/Grams/Jack moved from Boston.

That show would have been amazing. Though, no Drue/Jen/Pacey triangles. As much as Jen deserved boys fighting over her, none of that. Although, I would have wanted her with both of them. I can't make a choice anymore. But because this the Pacey/Jen thread, she and Pacey would have at least gotten their chance to be together.

I agree, Beth. No triangles

I tend to ship Jen with almost everyone like I do with Pacey and all his couples with some exceptions, but PJen always had the first place in my heart

There was definitely a natural chemistry between them. They shared a certain ease with one another. I think Josh and Michelle's off-screen bond was reflected in the Pacey/Jen interaction in that respect.
