We are considered and essential service, so I'm still working 5 days a week although we are on slightly reduced hours.

Other than work, I don't go anywhere and hubby does the shopping.

We've just been put into a National Lockdown (again) but the schools are still open - no they are closed - no some are open and some are closed - with instructions like these no wonder people are confused and some are just doing their own thing. I'm just glad I'm retired and can stay at home except for essential visits to the chemist and some essential shopping. (some things hubby just doesn't know what to get, like drain unblocker!). Luckily after 2 bottles of drain unblocker it cleared.

We have restrictions in place, but currently we are in one of the safest locations in the World with only 35 Active cases. I think a big part of it is limiting cross border travel between Provinces. I'm only referring to our Province with those numbers, not all of Canada.

I think Canada must be one of the best Country's in the world to live in as it is so vast that it must be quite easy to stick to the distancing rules (supposing most people are sensible and adhere to the rules). Lets hope our latest lockdown and the vaccination plan keep our people safe. It must be people being careless and not sticking to the distancing rules, wearing masks etc. that have caused this latest surge in cases.

Look what's going in the US right now. Those Trump supporters are out of control. I'm a little worried about how things turn out.

I've seen jokes on facebook about Canada and Mexico wanting walls to keep them safe from their neighbour. It's amazing how just a fraction of the population of a country can cause so much havoc under the wrong leadership with so much disinformation available.

Yeah, it's pretty sad actually. We've kept our Boarders closed to the US which is a good thing.

It is horrible. I am still in a state of shock that these people did that. One of my best friends lives near DC so I was really worried about him.

I don't think I'll be visiting the States for a long time to come. I just wish we were still part of the EU. It's going to be difficult to visit mainland Europe for a while even when Covid is under control, due to all the new rules of visas etc.

I think it will be a long time before things get back to the way they were before COVID and TBH, I hope people sit back and slow down a bit. Society became too rushed and I hope people took the time to appreciate the time they had and the people around them, so that going forward we can remember the basics and not just rush rush rush everywhere we go.

Unfortunately our extended and not so extended family all live miles away so we have to travel to see them. I just need a bit6 of sunshine to help my skin complaint so hope to go to sunnier climes later this year.

It would be nice to see my 90 year old mother some time this year.

We had one new case yesterday and 5 new cases today. We are still extremely low compared to the rest of Canada.
