I'm being cautious, but we are still in lockdown so we are not allowed to leave our homes except for necessary journeys ie food shopping, work (for key workers) or humanitarian reasons like caring for the vulnerable. The only shops and retail outlets open are those classed as essential like food shops and pharmacies. The vaccine takes about 3 weeks to be effective so I am not taking any chances in the meantime. We can go out for exercise but have to stay close to home, and it isn't very pleasant walking round the streets in the wind and rain.

Since we have so few active cases (20 as of today), we are able to go to restaurants and do everything else we used to. Right now there is very little that is closed, but there are limitations placed on certain businesses.

We are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel - at last. Hospital cases and deaths are going down due to lockdown and vaccination program.

That is great to hear. We only had one new case today for a total of 29 cases in our Province.

They were talking on the News tonight about how Nova Scotia is becoming popular with Film Production because it is so safe. We are getting some attention right now with films wanting to be filmed here.

We now need the rest of Europe to catch up. They have been dithering about whether the vaccines are effective for older people so much that most of their populations are refusing certain vaccines through disinformation. They need to get their act together or this summer will be wasted for tourism which is a huge business in a lot of the hotter countries.

I think our numbers are starting to go down too. I am glad some people I know are getting the vaccine.

I was looking at a couple of those maps online which shows where the most cases are and for the most part Canada mostly black, but the USA is mainly in the red.

Lets hope cases go down all over the world so people can get back to living instead of just existing in their own little bubbles.
