Corndogs must be an American thing. I've seen them, but they don't sell them at any food cart on the street. I have seen them frozen in a box though.

by the looks of the pic they look like they have meat in them
ok I googled it - it is a hotdog sausage wrapped in a cornmeal batter and deep fried - yep definitely gross __________________
