I try to wear comfortable shoes anyway as I have broken a toe and a lower leg in the past so can't get away with heels anyway. Sometimes even a 1/2 inch heel makes me fall over if I step on uneven ground.

I'm past wearing heals too; however, I do wear wedges in the summer, but not often.

I have a nice low heeled pair of sandals which are very comfortable but a bit blingy so they are perfect for evening wear. The rest of the time I will wear either walking shoes or sandals depending on the weather.

I wear the same slip on flat shoes at work. They are black and very comfortable. The funny thing about them is that I bought them at a second hand store.

Woke up this morning to the shocking news of the bombing of the Manchester Arena. Most of the victims were children and their parents who had gone to see a pop concert, and parents who were waiting in the foyer to collect their children and young adults. Most people in my area have visited the Arena to see sporting and musical events or theatrical events, so any one of us could have been victims of this horrific act. I am so saddened and sickened by this atrocity and my thoughts are with the people involved and their families.

This was awful and my heart goes out to all the families affected by the horrible crime.

Hi everyone. We are currently in Linz Austria 🇦🇹. We are going to Vienna on Monday, Bratislava Tuesday, and Budapest on Wednesday. So far the weather has been really hot but luckily we have air con both in the cabin and sitting areas. It has been whistle stop tours of all the towns we have visited so my head is spinning with information. Will check in tomorrow with an update.

Are you travelling by Train, Bus, Car? That seems like a lot of places to go to if you are driving.

I've heard that Canadians can't quite grasp how close European cities are to each other because we are so vast. I wonder if that is really true. I once asked my Uncle how long it took to drive from where he lives to where my grandparents live and he said it took 24 hours and that was only one Province away and we have 10 Provinces. I feel like my elementary geography teacher might be rolling in their grave right now. Of course that's assuming they aren't still with us as they seemed so old back then.
