He certainly is pretty.

You can see the conflict he is having in that pic.

When he was diagnosed he was already in Stage 4 which is where Ben was and after my father had surgery he went downhill fast. I'm still on the fence about the whole thing because sometimes I think if he hadn't had the surgery he would have had a better quality of life until it took him.
The same thing happened to my uncle. He actually walked in to hospital to have surgery and never recovered from it. If he and my aunt had known what it really involved and what it would do to him they would never have gone through with the surgery in the first place.

I think Ben was very brave to step outside his comfort zone and take his life by the short and curlies, so to speak, before he underwent life-changing treatment. At least he got to do the things he wanted to do but was too afraid to when he was well. It was sad for his fiancée and family but really, the film showed you have to live your life for yourself as you only get one shot at it, especially when it is so short.

It was also a great way to show the beauty and diversity of Canada and it's people.

Like I said, personal bias. I'm not going to see past how hurtful Ben's actions were to his family and the people who loved him and how awful it could have been.
