watching Mind Games this morning. I will only talk about the good scenes. This is a positive thread, so I just wanted to say that.





Pacey: Mmm. Good God woman! It's not even night time yet.

Joey: (still kissing) Oh?

Pacey: There's not even a hello, how are you doing? How was your day after school today, Pacey?

Joey: (she stops kissing him only to say,) Hi.

Pacey: (they land on the couch, Joey on top of Pacey) Yeah, hi. You know, I don't think I like this turn that our relationship is taking here. You have no respect for my feelings, we never talk anymore. (she continues kissing him and he groans)

Joey: Pace, we spent 9 months talking. We've been doing this for two weeks. (she goes back to kissing)


All this does is prove how happy Joey and Pacey are having sex. I like that Gretchen points it out to them both.

I love the intensity in this scene.



Joey even says "I want you" to Pacey. It really sucks that the writers just wasted all good Joey and Pacey angst and ex sex during season 5. What a waste? If nothing else, as much as I hate the last half of season 5, Josh just looks hotter and hotter. That's just an incentive to watch it for me. I am glad we at least got some Joey and Pacey goodness before the end of the series. It's still more than other shows couples get over a series.



Katie so does know how to kiss. She sure couldn't kiss Eddie or Dawson. It was painful to watch. I never expected her to be able to kiss Pacey after all that bad kissing.

Season 4 had some wonderful P/jo moments! [img]smilies/sigh.gif[/img] It was a pity it ended the way it did. IMO, it should have ended with The Graduate.

Dawson: Have you heard from him?

Joey: No. The sea creature from the deep remains incommunicado.

Dawson: I'm sorry. I'm sure once he's ready, he'll call or write-- or something.

Joey: I don't know. Do you ever feel utterly incapable of sustaining a relationship?

Dawson: I think I'm in touch with that emotion.

Joey: I guess it's another in a seemingly endless string of life lessons. Never get involved with a monster from beneath the sea, no matter how charming. It’s...just not gonna work.

Dawson: I have to say that despite our mutual misery, I've had a pretty decent time hanging out with you lately.

Joey: Me, too.


Let's see. Joey is still bitter Pacey left her, so she is upset it didn't work out. She still thinks he's charming. This was after he yelled at her and embarrassed her. Joey even admits that she's miserable without Pacey. She may be having a good time with Dawson, but that doesn't mean she is over Pacey. Who cares about the kiss at the end? Not me. You can kiss and have sex with as many people as you want and it doesn't mean you love someone any less. I think that point was proven. Who cares that she writes about it in her essay? It was only mentioned in a few lines. It was about how she hasn't wanted to kiss him in years. That's because she was with Pacey. Someone even found it at the desktop and read it and said it was about Joey and Dawson's friendship and how she fell in love with someone else. She didn't even know what the kiss meant. She didn't even know what she wanted with him. Only after he makes her feel bad, she starts with the whole crap. She was relieved she didn't have to be with him. IF you love someone so much, you should want to be with them when bad things happen. She won't go to L.A with Dawson because it's his journey. She has nothing keeping her in Capeside. She had here are her words "the time of her life" over the summer with Pacey. Why not have it with Dawson? Why is it when Joey is with Pacey she knows what the kiss meant? Pacey only needs to brush his arm against Joey to make her feel alive. She doesn't need a kiss. She has no problem running a way with Pacey for the summer when she has a B and B to help her sister with.




Joey: I felt it. (Pacey stops and looks at her.)

Pacey: What?

Joey: This morning. Your arm brushed up against me in bed and… I felt it.

Pacey: How did it feel?

Joey: It made me feel alive.

Pacey: Okay… Joey, I am going to kiss me now.





Joey: Look, I don’t want to stop you, Pacey. And I don’t want to stop Dawson, and I don’t want to be stopped. Not by either of you, not by anyone. See, I mean, that’s what this whole year’s been about. We’ve been trying to stop each other from moving on and from growing up. But not you. You’re different. And you’ve challenged me every step of the way and you’ve been there every step of the way.

Pacey: (walking past her) Jo, departure time is in T-minus 30 seconds, so if there’s a point, I suggest you get to it. (he climbs back aboard. Joey thinks for a second, then turns around)

Joey: I think I’m in love with you.

Pacey: (with his back towards Joey) You think or you know?

Joey: I know. (Pacey turns to look at Joey) I’ve known it since the moment you kissed me and maybe even before that. As scary as it is, I don’t want to deny it anymore, Pacey. I don’t want to run from it and I don’t want to let it run from me.
