Aww, sorry that I haven't been here more. Been putting out fires all around and still trying to keep on top of my boards.

I'm doing better, thanks! Finally over that bitch of a cold, but alas, we never got a real honeymoon.

We will, eventually. Just gotta save up and plan one out.

Married life is great! I love my husband and he's so good to me. But my MIL (mother). Oy. They're already back in town 45 days after the wedding for a visit. Oy x 120.

How are things with you two?

Anything that can go wrong with family is going on. But I won't get into that here, no one needs to hear that crap!! But married life is actually going well here too. After 13 years it ebbs and flows..so we are good this week. We'll see what next week brings!!!!

Gas prices are actully killing us so I'm looking into going back to work in the fall. I'm thinking Real Estate, I know the market sucks right now in this part of the country, but the local office in my little podunk town is interested..So by the time I get licenced and ready maybe the market will be on an upswing. I'm meeting with them this week. Oh god, I have to buy new clothes if I get a job!!! My cut off sweats, tank tops and flip flops just wont fly in the real world!

I actually get time to read the forum again.
suzi - some parts of your life remind me of 'Almost Famous'. But go ahead and make sure to share it all here.

Amy - I so envy you. Your house is looking great and I love all the colors you used. The sink is phenomenal.

As for our house. Right now the oil heating is changed into a new geothermal heating system. The floor is insulated and the new floor heating installed. The cast plaster floor needs to dry as well as the plastered walls. We're looking for tiles right now. Maybe we'll take grey granite. (It's really hard to find all the right words for this re-constructing thing!)
The girls are alright. Ella's three month old now. And Emma is just the usual 2 year old. 'NO!' and 'Want it!' are her usual responses.

Merica!! I'm glad to hear your remodel is coming along nicely. Enjoy the terrible two's with Emma, because the "Three's" will make the "Two's" look like a picnic!!!!!

Merica - cannot believe your baby is 3 months old now. We missed her first smile!

Mandy - so happy to know you're happy! That's the way it should always be. Sorry about the MIL. Mine is such a pleaser that all we have to do is keep her away from the grandkids for any length of time and she behaves!

We've been in the throes of looking, looking, looking for a house in a better school district. I've looked at or driven by 20+ houses in the last 3 weeks alone. But since we're so close to the new school year, we've pretty much decided to upgrade our current home, homeschool our eldest and stay put for the next year. We're really interested in high schools anyway, so we have 3 years before we need to move. We just wanted in on the better neighbourhoods while the real estate market is lousy now.

Just the opposite of Janet's sitch where you're hoping for an upturn for a job!

The thought of getting a job is terrifiying me. I just pulled out my old fading torn at the edges resume...I haven't worked since December 2001!!!!

What you need Janet is a shopping trip to London to buy your new work threads! Maybe aviation fuel is cheaper than gasoline!!!! I think you'd make a great real estate agent, you're always finding me superb, cheap places to buy. Its just a shame they are not in the same country that I live in!!!!

Merica - Would love to see some new pics of the girls. Can't believe 3 months have already passed. I love that you think my life resembles Almost Famous! Believe me, when I was cleaning yesterday it didn't feel like it.

And yes Donna, I am a groupie and proud of it!!

Mandy - Glad you're feeling better. I saw your facebook updates and knew you were suffering. I've been feeling yukky on and off for about a month now. I feel like I may lose my voice anyday now.
We are coming up to celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary now. Time flies when you're having fun. Enjoy the first year, its something special.

Next week is the last full week of the school year and everyone at work has been on wind down, until today. We got the phonecall that every school dreads this morning, we are having our Ofted inspection on Tues and Weds next week. I'm not sure what they do over the pond for inspecting schools but basically a team of inspectors will come in to school and scrutinise childrens work books, teachers planning, assessments and record keeping, target setting, etc etc. This is on top of interviewing heads of department and subject leaders and lesson observations!!! Don't be surprised if I'm not around much over the next few days.
