| I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We had to cancel our family Christmas Eve because of the weather. I was supposed to have my entire family over to our house, but since all the roads were coated in packed snow and ice we decided it was too dangerous for them to come all the way out to our house. Good thing too, because we needed four wheel drive AND chains just to get down to the store! We had 13 inches of snow on the ground, which is tied for the all time record EVER! What I can't believe is that Mr. Husband had to plow our drive way on Christmas Day...Plow...We don't plow snow here!!! | Not exactly a magical white Christmas then Janet? We had an incredibly mild Christmas day. Cooked dinner for 6. Husband still ill, feeling crappy myself now! Have had enough of the M-i-L aswell. Got the handbag I wanted though and loads of other lovely presents. Hope everyone else had a good Christmas. How did the kids like the Wii Amy? | Christmas was great in the sense that we actually got to stay home this year more than we usually do. As for the Wii, I wish we hadn't bought it. It's just another reason for my family to sit in front of the tv which they do too much of now anyway. I hope you all had a great Christmas. | Obsessed Fan   | Merry Christmas, everyone!! It appears everyone's Christmas was either pleasant or eventful! Hope you got to reschedule your Christmas, Janet! Cooked a 27 lb bird this time (8-hour cooking time!) for 8 people. Lo-o-o-oving the leftovers. Everyone got some nice gifts -- seems Santa brought what the kids wanted. Whew! We spent last night at S-i-L's house for 7 hours witnessing her Shih-Tsu have 4 puppies!! That was amazing. | Its 5.40am here. I've been up since before 5 because of my cough! I tried in vain for the best part of an hour to get back to sleep but have just given up and now I'm wrapped up in a sleeping bag at the computer!!! Christmas sucks this year!!!! Glad Christmas seems to be going well for some people. How amazing watching the dog have its puppies. New life at this time of the year is especially poignant. I did have a good day yesterday, I took the mums to the theatre to see The Sound of Music which was great. Not so great were the crowds in London, I get real pavement (sidewalk) rage!!! My sister is in NYC (and on JJ alert code red) and she said she'd never seen it so busy there either. Also, just wanted to let Robin (Katies sister) know that every Christmas me and the hubby donate a little bit of money to a cancer charity (my husbands father died of cancer 4 years ago) and this year we donated in Katies honour. __________________ Avatar by Merica You must be the change you want to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi | |||
