Wow, I didn't know that about Kerr Smith. Honestly (and yeah, I'm a little biased), Josh has the best companionship of the DC gang. He's madly in love. He and Diane always seem to shrug off the marriage stuff when it's brought up, so I guess they'll go the Kurt/Goldie route.

How's the move going Donna? Amy - how's the (not-so-new-anymore) job going?

My exciting news from this week is that one of my bridesmaids became a mum yesterday. She had a girl, Lily Grace who weighed in at 8lb 2oz. I'm going to meet her tomorrow evening and I can't wait.

We should revive Fave Photo Friday tomorrow!!

Amy absolutly hates her new job. I don't talk to her nearly as much as I did before. It's already making her physically ill. I've told her that she needs to join me in the world of a stay at home mom. But they had to go build that house last year, so now she HAS to work!!

Oh no, poor Amy. I got the feeling from some of her status updates on FB that she was maybe having a hard time of it. Give her a big crazymaker 'virtual hug' from me next time you talk to her.

Sad to hear about both JVDB and Kerr. Wish they could've kept it all together. Those first ten years can be the hardest. I'm sure Katie Holmes is all hugs and kisses, though! ::p:

And I'm also sorry to hear about Amy hating her new job. That was a big deal -- big enough to keep her off both FF and FB for a long periods of time! Must be sure to give her a good FB hug too. Soon enough I'll only be about an hour and a half away from her in RL for some visits once in a while. Maybe that can alleviate the job doldrums. We just NEED our vbff's!!

This message is mainly for Janet...I just saw the new John Kras. movie, Away We Go, and loved it. There are lots of laughs and some somber moments, but it is balanced. Some of the characters are way over the top, but funny. The leader of the Cinema Club and the movie reviewer he had as a guest speaker did not care for it, but the majority of the members liked it. It opens in our area (SF Bay area) on Friday, so it may be near you at that time.

maa47, I saw Away We Go on Saturday. It was only playing downtown, so I drug my friend with me. I can't wait to see it again. But I'm not going downtown again to do it, parking cost $10 for less than two hours!! So I'll just have to wait for it go have a wide release to see it in a theater where I don't have to pay for parking!!

I was quite pleased how this one turned out. Thinking of getting it put on a B&W canvas for them.

So I'm off on school journey on Monday with the Year 6 kids. Its a weeks residential outward bounds vacation. It will be a huge jump in age range for me, I usually teach the 4 and 5 year olds but these lot are 10 and 11.

That age isn't bad..they are very loyal to their teacher. I started out teaching sixth graders (ranging in age from 11 to 13) and actually enjoyed it. When I moved to California, I took whatever job I could get and discovered the primary grades (2nd and 3rd) and stayed there for a while. Now, I am subbing and I basically stick with 1st through 3rd, but I was in a fifth grade last week and they were great.
Janet, I'm glad to also enjoyed Away We Go (I saw it for free with free parking, however). By the way, my name is Mary Ann.

The 11 year olds will actually be a welcome relief after the way my class have been this week!! Very hyped about their 'fun day' on Friday! In fact most of the kids going on the school journey I taught when they were in our school nursery (kindergarten) when they were only 3 and 4 years old. I'm just crossing my fingers for good weather as I haven't got a clue what clothing to take!
