"Inescapable" Movie Discussion Thread - #1
I N E S C A P A B L E Movie Discussion Thread Josh's latest movie project is titled, "Inescapable" and filming has taken place in South Africa & Canada. Ruba Nadda is directing the Canadian indie thriller about a Syrian expatriate's search for his missing daughter. Cast: Joshua Jackson Marisa Tomei Alexander Siddig Oded Fehr Saad Siddiqui Description: According to Myriad Pictures, which is selling the international rights to the project, the story centers on“a Syrian expatriate (Siddig) whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus. He must return to his homeland to find her despite the risks, and calls on a former love (Tomei) to help him. An embassy official (Jackson) is at first helpful but may have an agenda of his own. CS: Most of your previous movies have been helmed by males. How has it been working with Ruba, who is your first female director? Jackson: Any good director has a different approach. Everybody brings their own particular voice to it. On the TV side, I've worked with a couple of women, but I've never worked in the feature world with a woman. I'm not really so sure her femininity is what sets her apart. The film will be at the Toronto Film Festival 2012 at a Gala presentation.

I'd love to see this movie (and Josh if possible!) do the rounds at the EDINBURGH International Film Festival.It looks like the kind of film that would fit into the program quite easily!.HINT..HINT!!.

I looked it up and it's one of the galas they give for Canadian films. I don't know if a date has been set for it yet.
