I know Diane is German, but I asked the accent question because -- Achteung -- nobody is going to hire a girl to play Helen of Troy if she sounds like Colonel Klink.

Articles mention that she is the most French of German actresses and many of her movies are French, so I wondered if she had developed a more British-English accent with a hint of French? More Americanized, standardized or what? Just curious.

Ah, I'm off to rent National Treasure.

NT is an excellent movie. Very well written, and Diane is excellent in it. I've seen it twice and didn't notice an accent either time. I will have to pay more attention next time.

Well her ex-husband was French and she lived in France with him, so I'm not surprised. Her accent (I've seen Wicker Park and Troy) does sound British-French-German, a strange but beautiful melange of the three.

Aww I love those pictures, they're so sweet. Plus the bird is cool. I think Josh and Diane are a really cute couple. They both seem very laid-back.

Interesting thought just popped into my head - she's a German who lives in France; he's a Canadian who spends the better part of the year in the U.S. - if they moved in together, where on earth would they live?

People I know don't have this problem - more like what neighborhood do you want to settle down in, not what country...

Funny, funny. I love that pic. Watching Josh kiss is so sexy, but knowing that he's actually enjoying it with someone he likes makes it that much sexier.

A couple of different takes on Josh from last weekend, courtesy of Defamer

Quote:
Last night at The Flaming Lips show, saw Josh "Pacey" Jackson and Helen of Troy herself (Diane Kruger) on what looked like a date. They had trouble finding their seats, which weren't in a box...poor things had to sit amongst the plebes. Both looked good, but didn't stand out from the sweaty and sticky hipster crowd. Pacey was quite handsome, tall and trim, just like the good old days out on the Creek.

ยท Saw Joshua Jackson at the Hollywood Bowl Sunday night 7/23 for the Thievery Corporation/Flaming Lips show. Was hanging out mid-show in the central walkway near the beer line. Was just standing around chatting with nondescript guy, blending in well. Looking very grizzled with a unkempt beard.

calzo, something tells me that in general, Josh enjoys kissing almost any woman, as he always seems to throw himself into the act with such gusto - it was actually the look on his face that kind of got to me - no matter how much talent one has as an actor, there is nothing like the look when it's the real thing...

Wonder if he changed his stained green tee shirt, before going to concert.

Hee!

I need to start going to the Bowl more often. I was going to go a couple weeks ago, but hand a change of plans. Summertime at the Bowl is the best!

But can I just say how much I that they were down with the rest of the 'regular people'? Love. Love. Love.

They probably were the most regular people there, considering it's Hollywood.

Now to find out if Josh crossed the pond as well when Diane returned this past week. I don't envy them their long distance relationship. It's tough.

I think Josh would do great in France, though. Be Johnny Depp's neighbour...
