I just saw this interview with Diane where she talks about how her and Josh started dating, it's in french but she basically says that they knew each other a long time before they actually started seeing each other (i think they met in 2004 at the Matrix premiere, right?) and she always knew Josh liked her but at that time she was married and then she was single but it took them a long time before going out, and it wasn't serious for a while so when she went to film a movie very far away she decided to cut ties with him because she thought they were gonna meet other people while away. And then when she was away she didn't find any guy she liked so she decided to call Josh but he told her he was seeing someone and that's when she realized she really liked him and then they started seeing each other again
