In a perfect world, we could all do pretty much as we like, Patty, with little or no repercussions, especially if we are not hurting anyone else. However, this is far from a perfect world and celebrities do need to be more aware than the average person that anything they do in public - smooching, arguing, whatever - is going to wind up being fodder for the tabloid machine. Whether this is right or wrong or whatever rights we all may or may not have is beyond the point - this is simply the way it is.

Secondly, I doubt that all that many people know who Diane is in this country and Josh is perhaps little more than a celebrity blip in France - but Paris is her home, which makes her a celebrity there and she is divorcing someone who is more than a blip on the radar in France. I don't for one minute think the Paps were after Josh in Paris, Diane was the most likely target and Josh, by virtue of their new found relationship, just happened to be there.

Do I personally care if they kiss in public - not particularly. My only point was that if celebrities want to stay below the public radar, they probably shouldn't walk right into the fray. And if they truly don't care who knows that they are a couple, if they are moving into the commitment phase, then in the end, none of it matters, anyway, because we'll be seeing a lot more of them together in the future... If not, if this is only a passing fancy for them both, then it really doesn't matter, either, because in a month's time, Paris will only be a fading memory and the Paps will have moved on to their next vict, er, targets.

I am in total agreement with you LVF....

With the way the paps are going these days...it's an all out war for privacy!

but it can be done...and Josh himself has proved that...he pretty much contains
his personal life...and is smart in doing so.

He has every right to all the PDA...that he choses...but not without repercusions
and that is just a fact...in this media crazed world...

As usual we his fans wish him the best...but not all people out there care if his feelings are respected...they care about the bottom line...the almighty buck...and that is what pics of famous couples brings in...

If you want a quieter life...dating an unknown to the business helps..
but...people in show business tend to date others in the same business...as that is who is in their circles...and they have a little bit more of an understanding of what it all entails...

I believe that Josh will keep as tight a lid on this as he can...
I'm sure you won't find him on the talk show circut...jumping on couches...LOL....LOL

If this meeting with the paps had happened in a country where one of them was not well known it probably would not have made a ripple. I am not sure that Josh could be in Italy with her without notice since he has had so much publicity there. Likewise since Diane is German I don't see a quiet visit to Austria or Germany for them. Given how well they responded to the paps I don't see that any of this is a big deal. Josh's way of working with the press seems to be of a lower key variety that some other celebs. I think we might see an increase in interest in him if she comes to LA. I would think the foreign press in Hollywood would want photos of them here as well.

It looks to me, that Josh knows exactlly what he is doing and is having fun with it. No need for us to concern ourselves with any of this. All we need do, is sit back and enjoy getting a few pics of our man. Who cares why they are being followed? Who cares if one is more popular than the other in this country or that..... I don't. It is enough for me to see Josh having fun with the whole situation. The running away was great. And if you listen closely, under all that annoying music, Josh and Diane seem to be laughing at the whole affair.

Maybe they are at a stage in their relationship where being totally private is just not that important. Regardless, as he said, she is a breath of fresh air....and maybe that is just enough to free him up and allow him to act like any other young guy, in love. I am loving the whole ride.

I just wanted to say that I don't know Josh so I can't and I don't want to try to find why he does some thing, or why he doesn't. All I can see and care is what he does with his job.
Of course when we see what he does, where he goes we want to or we try to know why etc etc but finally, all we have is his movies so...

But I'm like you and when I see a picture or a video I have a lot of questions and I want to know more about what I see ! lol

Oh well, best decision or not, I am just glad to see Josh's face again!

Not to mention, something to talk about!

Although, I don't think what's happening in paris will have any baring on the US anyways. Also, Josh is back, although he might get asked, so he has no problems with the paps following him. Heck, they didn't follow him (I mean, really follow him not just one or two shots of him and his girl) when he was with Rosario, Katie nor Brittany.

Skeptic, I don't think anyone is concerned about his PDA where ever he is. I love seeing him out in public and he sure appears to be happy, I don't think we can ask for more

Somehow in the thrill of the Paris pics I missed his scruff, perhaps it wsa the excitment of seeing him out and about today is the first time I noticed he had scruff. I thought it was new at the Superman Opening, but it was just more defined.
