Does anyone know why the time still shows as GMT+ 1 when we are no longer in British Summer-time but are now in GMT. I have enabled DST on my profile so shouldn't it correct itself?

Our time doesn't change until next weekend, so this site is probably American.

It might require you to log out and then back in - that is what happened after I adjusted my settings to reflect Perth time (I remember it showed US time until I logged out and now it always shows Perth time) so try logging out and then logging back in and see if it adjusts it to your time

I think I will try getting rid of the DST and see if that helps. I thought it would change it automatically but maybe it won't change til next weekend when the American time changes.

I changed it to automatic settings instead of dst and it worked. Thanks for the tip.

Because you guys were talking about time change last week (or someone was) I thought our time changed this weekend, so it prompted a discussion with my hubby about the time changing a week early for some countries, he argued with me that was not the case. Hmmm guess who won that argument?

Our poor husbands they just have no luck, my husband wants to go to bed but I said I need 10 more posts before i can pack up the computer in our room and turn the Tv off (my background noise) and the light off. He said"what do you mean 10 bloody posts, what are you doing?" too hard to explain to the man

We always change the clocks back to GMT the last weekend of October so this year was early as today is the last Sunday in the month.

We refused Day light savings in Perth - we have enough sunlight who needs 1 more hour of it seriously

In the UK it goes back to the first world war and keeping up with Europe so the British soldiers got up at the same time as the German soldiers. I read that somewhere but I can't remember where, to verify it. Also it could have something to do with farming and harvests and the fact it would get light far to early if it wasn't changed.

As it is it gets light at about three in the morning in the middle of summer so if it wasn't changed it would be light at 2 in the morning. At the moment it is nearly dark and it is only 4.30 in the afternoon.(GMT)

When they did force day light savings on us it was still light at 10pm it was ridiculous, in summer you don't need more daylight, what about doing it in winter?

have a good night (sorry day) gotta go my husband just yelled at me - not a happy man apparently he has to go to work in 5 hours - well who is topping you mate - apparently I am Bye

The reason we change back is so it is daylight in the mornings at 8 o-clock instead of nine-o-clock for the children going to school. In the winter we have very little daylight in the North of the UK so every little helps.

Goodnight. Hope he gets to work ok in the morning.
