I don't know how much of this is true, but I heard that Josh wanted to do the GA role as well as the Fringe pilot. However, they couldn't get it to work out with the schedules.
Oh well, we'll never know for sure, but I absolutely love Fringe, so I guess it worked out for the best. Besides Fringe is what made me fall in love with Josh.

Correct.

"Cut to present day: The strike is over, Grey's is headed back into production, and Jackson is - yep, you guessed it - no longer available. During the work stoppage, J.J. Abrams hand-picked the actor to headline his new X-Files-esque Fox series Fringe, which is currently in production in Toronto (and will be through mid-March). Although an attempt was made to make the scheduling work, ultimately the logistics proved too daunting."

Thanks for that, I had never actually read the details, had only heard a bit of the story.

And you have to wonder - while he was promoting the Affair, Josh talked a lot about how long a season of network TV is (and Grey's is often 24, not 22) and how tired he was. So Fringe, sadly, was sort of perfect in only lasting 5 seasons so he could do the Affair and be on Broadway.

I'm just pleased that everything worked out in the end. If Josh wants to do a medical show he should ask Colin to put in a good word for him for a role on Chicago Med.

I'm not sure what type of show I would like to see Josh in next (if he decides to do another TV show|). I don't know if I would like to see him in a Medical show or a Cop show or something else. He was awesome as a badass FBI guy, so I could easily watch him in that kind of role.
