That was definitely his nature, to protect women he cared for.

And he was a good friend to her in that episode. He saw her self-destruct a little and he stepped in and stopped it.

I know how people said Joey wasn't into Pacey in season 1, but there's all these instances that contradict that. Why show her drooling over the guy with the brown hair and throbbin neck muscles then? hee

word. esp in the Breakfast Club episode, they were sitting really close. There were like eight other tables. hee. Joey also says Pacey has bigger biceps than Dawson and would beat Dawson. hee. I notice at the end, she says she'll probably end up in bed with the guy with the bigger biceps. It was like she was subconsciously attracted to Pacey. even in the series finale in Dawson's movie, the Joey character is in denial about her feelings for the Pacey character

I never noticed this before but in the Detention cap there, does he have his hand on her arm? Or is it just the angle that makes it look like he's touching her?

I think you make an excellent point. The library was full of places for either of them to sit but they chose to be next to each other.

I remember watching that and thinking PJ are never going to get together. I remember the promos and I was thinking it was Pacey in jail and Joey was visiting him. hee. I saw Pacey with teh cop car

I wonder what would have happened if she would have kissed him back in DD. Pacey wasn't in love with her yet, but he felt attracted, the same could have happened with Joey but she still had too many unresolved feelings for Dawson. I'm glad the writers waited till season 3 to get PJ together. We had the chance to see them really falling in love with each other. Plus, I think Pacey grew up a lot during season 2, I think Joey definitely saw Pacey in a different light after his relationship with Andie, like someone who could be mature and thoughtful.

I think it's better they didn't kiss in DD. It was more of an anticipation. I do think Joey realized what a great guy that Pacey was after his relationship with Andie. I also think she fell for him on her own. Pacey of season 3 was not Pacey of season 2. He was getting in trouble, drinking, skipping school, making sex pacts, and getting in fights. She fell in love with him despite these things

I agree!

Joey definitely fell for Pacey, flawed and all. She couldn't help it and that's probably the reason she denied it so bad.

According to her, he was "unbelievable"

I love at Thanksgiving when she starts blushing when she's talking to Andie about Pacey. I love the subtle underrated stuff that doesn't seem like much, but means so much

True. It was obvious she was jealous in FTT and that she had a hard time admitting her true feelings for him in Stolen Kisses.

The PJ build up was so well made. I swear, there are no more shows like Dawson's Creek anymore. So magical and where the love was the most important thing

LOL! I'm not sure even Dawson's Creek was as good as we're remembering it: there was never enough PJ in the first run and it took 6 years to see it all through. For me, it's just "Pacey Loves Joey" now that I can fast forward out all the extraneous stuff which I like to call "Dawson and Friends"!

I cannot imagine sitting through Henry, Natasha, Audrey, Eddie and Emily all over again. Just give me the PJ love.

ten, I mostly watch the PJ clips on youtube. I like some of those characters you mentioned too

I see what your saying. I learn to appreciate what we got. i got so into this one couple and the writers did a 180. I can go to youtube and find a million videos on PJ and I'm lucky to find four videos on this other couple I wanted

so true jen. The shows nowadays rush couples so fast. I can hardly keep up with who's been with who on GG. I remember when that scene aired. I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I didn't think much of it
