I don't think anyone really knows what's going on at the moment, outside Bad Robot and Kirk. Although, Kirk said he was fired (I hate that word - let go, due to them not taking up his option), the producers are saying he is not and that Charlie will have a major story arc in season 2. Go figure. They've only filmed a standalone episode so far for season 2. That was the last one they filmed in NYC.

So, I think the latest I read is that their supposedly negotiating. (Hope this guy, is right about that). Hope something comes of it. I just hope they let everyone know the result, to ease all the confusion.

I think the new character will be tried out first to see how the audience reacts to her. Then she will only be recurring. Since, Olivia is the straight guy, this character is supposed to counterbalance her and she is a believer like Mulder.

Actually Jeff Pinkner didn't say Charlie would have a major storyline arc. He said that like Fringe, there's more to this story than we see. He used alter-Charlie's scar as an example. Hope this clears it up.

The higher ups want to cut budget, so it means a) He won't be back, or b) he'll be reduced to recurring role, as Mandy said.

I know what your saying Conway, read that too and not saying it's not right. I was quoting from a guy who is a tv insider and most of his "this is how it is going to go" turns out right. Told everyone that Dollhouse would be renewed long before it was. However, there is always a possibility he gets given wrong info.

However, with this Kirk mess he is abit hazy. Hence what he said. Guess we will have to see how it all pans out.

I read that the new season premier will be on September 17th, so we will have a few questions answered at that point. Of course the crew is set to report to Vancouver on June 24th, so we should be hearing some news sometime after that.

BTW, I thought I read somewhere that there were two S2 epis in the can.
