| I was glad to read that Ausiello gave Fringe a good rating. I felt that he hadn't been promoting it in EW. I read on Airlock Alpha that DVR numbers are boosting Fringe's numbers by 40%+. JJ Abrams said that Fox is decidedly behind the series and that the DVR numbers are quite helpful. I watch Fringe live (except when I am at a hockey game), but I always record it on the DVR. I keep the episodes until the DVD for the season is released. Last edited by maa47 : 11-11-2009 at 04:49 PM. Reason: spelling error | |||

| Well lets all cross fingers that the episode shown tonight is a good one, so ratings can hopefully go up. With Fox cancelling Dollhouse, I just hope that Fringe will not be next. Talking about Grams. Finally got to watch the episode with Grams in it a few weeks ago. It was so nice to see Josh and Grams on screen together again. Really loved the conversation they had together. Josh always does a good job when he is given more than two sentences to say/or given a decent scene. It's just not that often. Also, saw Ability? this week, the one where Olivia turns the lights out. Good episode. I have loved the continuity of epsiodes with Jones. That is what I think is lacking this season. If the episodes lead from one to another, the show flows so much better and the audience becomes alot more invested in what is happening to the storyarc and the characters. These standalones just don't do that. | |||

| Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I thought there was an unnecessary number of stand alones last year and I don't think they've done fewer this year. I hope tonight's episode will get us back on track, otherwise I'd feel like each individual writer is doing his own thing and has NO IDEA there's a story arc to tell. Akiva's stuff stands out as superior writing and directing, though. He needs to be in charge of the writer's room. __________________ Avi by: some mad hope I just wanna live while I'm alive! | Awesome episode tonight, very Peter-centric. I wonder why he could think of steak at a strip bar? | |||

| Okay, Walter had me laughing out loud during Of Human Action. WALTER: Puberty! A.D.D. Medication! And . . . an untested brain-wave enhancer! It’s a mind-control cocktail! ![]() ![]() WALTER: Once you’ve been given the order to put on the headphones do not remove them under any circumstances. If you do . . . you may die a gruesome and horrible death. Thank you for your attention and have a nice day! ![]() ![]() Oh, I loved how lost Walter was without Peter because Peter wasn't there to help him. Also, at the end of the show when Walter was talking about Peter’s mother and Peter’s eyes welled up. It was really touching. Josh’s acting is so superb! One of the best episodes of the season I think. Cool alternate universe stuff, cloning, plot twist, relationship development, humor, action, touching scenes, MD involvement! ![]() ~Mel __________________ I try to do the right thing with money. | I am really sorry so many posts on this. On my end Internet Explorer tells me that my connection has been lost, so I try again and again. I will just be more patient. Maybe just come back to it later. So Sorry![]() ~Mel __________________ I try to do the right thing with money. Save a dollar here and there, clip some coupons. | I really enjoyed this episode and pretty much knew the kid was in charge from the beginning. What threw me was the reveal at the end that he was the experiment (and possibly a clone) when Nina writes as much to William Bell. I liked that it was somewhat Peter-centric. Still waiting for when he finds out about where he is really from. Have we gotten any word that his mother is dead or alive? They've been really criptic about her. I wonder if she will appear at some point. __________________ 'To start, press any key. Where the any key?' -Homer Simpson Words, Searched | |||

| Yes, they have been very elusive about her existence and where abouts. However, at the end of this episode (during the conversation when Walter said to Peter, "Of course you need crepes, you were abducted." ) Walter referred to Peter's mother as "was." I think he said, "She was a strong woman" (or something to that effect). This is the first time I have heard Walter (or anyone) refer to her in the past tense, so I am thinking she is dead . . . at least in this universe!?! ~Mel __________________ I try to do the right thing with money. | Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Neither Peter nor Walter has ever said she is dead, so I'm hoping she's not, and that she just had to get away from it all. The show is currently casting Peter's mother, thought. Looking for someone in her 40's, "lovely", strong (but broken) -- their words, etc. That's exciting to look forward to. Don't get all upset because the mother will be in her 40's -- it's probably going to be a flashback segment. __________________ Avi by: some mad hope I just wanna live while I'm alive! | Just finished watching Fringe so I had to post. Another great episode. Not humorous like last week, a more serious tone. Interesting . . . as the Observers observe us, they are being changed by us. More unanswered questions (old and new) to keep us tuning in next week. An equal showing of Peter, Walter, and Oliva. Love the lab guy at MD (he was funny)! I am glad they are letting us know more about the observers. I was touched by the last scene between them when the Observer, August died. Walter was so scared they were coming for Peter. And I must say that I love it when they throw in a little (or a lot) of "badass" Peter as well. This was a very interesting espisode in that for us Fringe fans, it finally introduced us to these "people" who have been appearing in every episode of Fringe for 2 seasons now. However, if someone had tuned in tongiht for the first time, they would have been able to watch the "story of this kidnapping" unfold and not feel lost because really, none of us had any more answers or background info about the observers than someone new to watching he show. This is what Fringe needs to keep doing! ~Mel __________________ I try to do the right thing with money. Save a dollar here and there, clip some coupons.
