I will be very eager to hear what people have to say about 2.06. From what other people have said, a particularly weak episode. While there were some good aspects to it, this was definitely a standalone.

Should we be getting worried about this season? The buzz seems to have fallen away for the show and I'm sensing that people are losing interest.

There filming episode 12 now. Are they likely to take a break after this episode to assess what is working and what is not? I want the show to succeed because they have good actors and great potential for great storytelling.

I enjoyed seeing an episode focused on another sub-character like Broyles. He needed the help of the Fringe division and it allowed us to look inside his past and who he is.

Plus, I think this CIA business leads us in for some more deeper storylines. I don't think it was a weak episode, per se. Just another direction, which I think is smart.

All shows have their weak episodes even the best shows and frankly, whether or not people liked it is up to them. Frankly, the season is not even over yet. Not sure how people can start worrying if we are only 6 episodes into the show and if people start losing interest, that's their own problem.

Some people just don't know how a TV show works. Not everything will be out in the open in the first 10 episodes.

There are certain aspects of the show that I happen to not agree with but I am not those who will stop watching.

I'm not going to stop watching either, but it was def a stand alone. My favourite part?

"Titanium tetrachloride. You sly-y-y temptress." I laughed my guts out.

All of the characters played supporting role to Broyles last night and I think that's fine. It was good to get to know his past a little and to see his vunerable side. I liked seeing him take care of business as he needed to e.g., going against the CIA, shooting the coma guy in the head and temporarily stopping dust alien/man. And the scene with the kid in the restaurant was too cute!

Also, the short scene between Broyles and his ex-wife was great. Jeeez, you could see how painful their relationship had been.

I thought for an episode that had basically nothing to do with advancing the big/typical storylines, it was pretty good. Although I missed seeing more of Josh's face, it is necessary to develop all of the the characters and relationships in the show.

As always, I am looking forward to next week!

P.S. I bet Josh's mom really liked last night's episode

Fox needs to move this show and quickly! Fox is ruining this show and they will put everyone out of a job!

It's not only Fox Patty, but the writers/producers.

As was said in a critic's review, which I agree with, they are playing it waaayy too safe this season. This season just doesn't seem to have the punch of last season. Plus their 1 episode in 4 mythology model isn't working this season either. They've given the viewers too much mythology now, to still be doing this.

Someone was saying somewhere, that they turned into the premiere with their friends and haven't tuned in since, because they didn't go into/build on the altuniverse from the finale of season 1.

I think this is a really valid point of this season, their decision to delay the learning by the viewer of the altuniverse and what happened over there. We got some tidbits, but not much at all. You can't really drop a major factor like that introduced into the show and expect people to stick around to later in the season to find out more. (I'm hoping it's coming)

Viewers don't seem to have that sort of patience with shows these days, unless it's really established and they are really invested. Fringe unfortunately is neither to the majority of fans.

As crazy as it sounds, I think I actually enjoyed last season a little more than this season! Yeah I agree, they need to reverse the stand alone/mythology ratio. And bring Orci/Kurtzman back to daily operations.

Well, I'm not giving up on this show. I just love seeing Josh on TV again! It's as simple as that.

Yeah many TV Guides and schedules had World Series Game 7 still listed, so that may have had a little to do with Thursday's lower-than-normal ratings.

Does it affect the shows ratings if one watches it on Hulu? I stopped watching Fringe halfway through the season last year to return back to Supernatural. This year I chose Supernatural again, but I have been watching Fringe online. I have to admit the show is drawing me in.

It does impact the ratings since Nielson doesn't count online viewers.

This last week I believe will be an exception since the World Series allow for practically ZERO promotion and created confusion for others in thinking it was even on.

A lot of networks (including Canada) have been saying, "Back from hiatus, a new episode THIS week of Fringe". Blech.
