I suppose they had to have a back-up just in case Josh didn't sign up! In his diary of the making of the pilot Roberto Orci said they really wanted Josh for the part but it went down to the wire whether they could get him.

I am watching The Pilot at the moment and it is the part in Iraq with Josh and the businessmen discussing the 'job'. Olivia and Peter have just met for the first time.

It's funny that all the things that Olivia said Walter was working on in the past, were actually things Walter or other scientists perfected during the course of the show!

Well in the real world I think we all make small sacrifices in our lives for the people we love. But as none of us are from another Universe and have the ultimate decision to make, we just have to do what we can for our families.
