I think Josh can pull it off. I thought Bill wasn't necessarily likeable in Little Fires Everywhere (the entire set of characters on that show were not likeable), but I still think Josh did a wonderful job! I think he will humanize the role.

That's a good point. Josh always makes his characters believable and somewhat likeable.

As a person, Cole Lockhart was worse than Bill Richardson IMHO. Cole dealed cocaine in Season 1 and slept with his ex wife while married to Luisa in Season 3.

Josh appears to love the anti hero and out and out villainous roles. He seems to be drawn to this sort of character as opposed to the hero types.

I would have to agree here. I am just getting to The Affair now. Cole isn't necessarily likeable either.

I agree that Josh tends to like these roles which is why I think he will do a great job. It's so different from his own self that he digs deep to think about why the characters behave the way they do.

It often happens that the nicest people want to play the nastiest roles and sometimes the 'heroes' are not the nicest people around, which is a big disappointment to their fans.

We are lucky that Josh is a great guy in real life, and only seems to get angry with the papz who harass him or his companions.

Well Cole was just reacting to the situation in most cases but underneath was trying to do the right thing. Dr. Duntsch was basically a con man who played with his patients lives because he thought he was better than he was.

They're filming Episode 7 right now. One more episode to go and filming is completed. Per Peacock/NBC, Dr Death will be released in the fall of this year.
