I watched the special Feature "Tour of |Montauk" on Disc 2 and it was a good little clip. They talked about Deep Hollow Ranch aka The Lockhart Ranch and the owner said there were a lot of fans coming through and everyone wanted to know which horse Josh rode in the show. I thought that was a fun fact.

Did I miss something, or did this scene not show in Episode 9? Bummer, I was looking forward to some Cole/Helen interaction. This was marketed as an Episode 9 promo pic.

Exactly! WTF? Looks like last week's episode was it for Cole this season...

Bleh. They must have cut the scene with Cole. I wish I hadn't seen the promo pic. My spoiler policy of enjoying and seeking out spoilers went wrong this time.

I think Cole's story this season was really good, and I loved all the episodes he was a part of, but yeah, this season has not been as good as the last two and it's because TOO MUCH NOAH.

I really hope s4 brings a bigger focus on Alison, Cole and Helen instead of whathisface.

I think Cole's story has not been interesting at all this season. It was completely boring. Cole having to choose between Alison and Luisa. Really? Thank god we saw only two episodes about that, at this point.

Agreed. It was too soap opera-ish.

I personally felt there was way too much Noah as well and to be honest, I'm not at all looking forward to the last episode. They finished filming before they knew they were getting a S4, so I can't possibly imagine how that last episode is going to fit everyone's storyline in and I kind of feel they didn't even try because it was all about Noah this season which is extremely disappointing.

I like all of their stories, but there really needs to be a better balance in their stories.

Sarah´s tweet from Dec 2016:

Me, re: S3: It's so slow and melancholy, I love it!
Showtime: You gotta speed this s**t up.
Me: You're wrong!
Twitter: Speed this s**t up!
Apparently, she wanted this season to be even more slow than it already is.

I guess, fans should be glad that Showtime told her to "speed this s**t up" ?
Or is Sarah right and it should´ve been slow and melancholy?

I just watched the previews for the next week and I changed my mind : I won´t watch the finale. Whitney is too much for me.

So, Cole wasn´t in E9? The cut scene with Helen apparently happened before he was thrown into jail and before his confession to Alison. Well, maybe it´s better that they cut his scene at Lobster´.

The lack of Cole this season is disappointing. But: maybe Josh asked for it. When he signed for this show in 2013 Cole wasn´t supposed to have his own POV. Maybe that´s exactly what Josh wanted - to work as little as possible on the show and have time for his family and for other things?

It makes me curious as to what that scene with Helen and Cole is all about. Maybe it was Cole that waited on her when she paid her bill, but they reshot that scene because it didn't fit with Helen's need to confess to the Lockhart's about her being the one who hit Scotty. It's possible, but who knows.

I actually think that the cut scene happened after he was thrown into jail. Helen met Alison the same night Alison got the news about Cole being interrogated. Helen went at the Lobster Roll the day after.

I may be cynical but perhaps the 'cut' scene was put out before the episode, to draw more people in to watch the episode.

I thought I remember either Maura or Sarah teasing about a Helen/Cole scene, but I could be mistaken.

Yes, Sarah Treem said that.
