IMO another difference between 2 marriages: Alison was married not just to Cole but to the whole Lockhart clan - they were this one big "happy" family. Plus they all were involved in the (legal and illegal) family businesses. I think things would´ve been different in Cole/Ali marriage if there were just the two of them and no dominant mother-in-law, no other Lockhart boys and no drugs.

It seems Cole and Luisa keep their distance from other Lockharts. Is Cherry still alive in S3?

I'm guessing Cherry is still alive, but we may not see her in S3 if Cole is distancing himself from the family. We have had some BTS pics of the other Lockhart boys though.

I think we'll see the family reunited again and i hope we'll see Cherry because her relationship with Cole is very important to know new sides of Cole.

Roll on ep 2 season 3 for Cole's story to continue. Lets hope the 1st episode deals with Noah's life in prison and what effect it has on his family/ex, so we can move on to how The Affair and it's aftermath impact on all the characters involved.

I looked on IMDb and it doesn't list S3 on Mare Winningham's page. She has a couple of things in Post Production and was in American Horror Story. I wonder if she will actually appear in S3 or will simply be mentioned.

IMDB doesn't catch everything, she still might appear. We never really saw how she reacted to losing Scotty who was basically her main support after Cole wised up and got away from her toxicity.

And we likely won't see how she reacted since it's now 3 years later. It would be nice to see her again in S3, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I was just looking on IMDb and it looks like it's a set of twins playing Joanie. I think we already surmised that, but not sure if we knew for sure. The actresses who play Joanie are Reagan and Savannah Grella.

It's a pity they couldn't have found some twins that looked more like Joanie as an infant, with reddish hair and colouring to go with it, like Alison and Cole. I suppose acting twins of the right age aren't easy to come by, especially in NYC as opposed to LA.

Not to mention that it's strange that they didn't find twins with blue eyes, considering that Cole's eyes are green-blue, same for Alison. Sometimes when i see joanie i think she looks more like Noah's child

I think it is very rare for parents with blue eyes to have children with brown eyes, except in TV land.
