The Affair with Joshua Jackson #2 - Cole will be our Cowboy of Choice

Cole (Joshua Jackson) - Hard Edged Long Island Cowboy and predicted favourite

Allison (Ruth Wilson) - Waitress and Cole's Wife

Noah (Dominic West) - School Teacher

Helen (Maura Tierney) - Noah's Wife and mother of four

About the Series

At once deeply observed and intriguingly elusive, THE AFFAIR explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship. Noah is a New York City schoolteacher and novelist who is happily married, but resents his dependence on his wealthy father-in-law. Alison is a young waitress trying to piece her life and marriage back together in the wake of a tragedy. Set in Montauk at the end of Long Island, the provocative drama unfolds separately from both the male and female perspectives, using the distinct memory biases of both to tell the story.

hey, can we add something on the spoiler policy? No leaked scripts, etc.? Love the OP in progress!

Will do and thanks.

Love this title! :D

TFTNT! Love the title.

JJH85 04-27-2014 05:34 AM

Thanks, I'm glad you like the title. I usually like to ask peoples opinion before using my owm titles but there were so few people on last night when I was doing it that I went ahead with it.

Tracydeanne1 04-27-2014 06:25 AM

So does that mean that we're allowed to have a show thread here with things like trailers, etc. as long as the title says Spoilers?

Sorry, I'm still not clear on if we can do that here, or if it has to be over on the Spoilers board?

I'm still a little fuzzy on that myself and I really was too tired yesterday to focus on that rule . Let me get back to you guys once I get it straight in my head.

Thanks J!

This is what suggested to me we can have a Spoiler thread on here? (But not episode discussions)

Information officially released by the network such as sneak peaks, filming pictures and episodes stills, or cast interviews that hint at future storylines can be posted in the designated spoiler discussion thread at all forums.

I'm sure we are allowed a spoiler thread as long as it specifies it in the title of the thread.

Example:The Affair Spoiler Thread

That's not what we would use as a title because we are a much more creative group, just wanted a simple example. I still want to go over that a little further when I get a few moments to think about it and read the full description on the Moderator Board.

Tracydeanne1 04-27-2014 07:17 AM

Sounds good to me! It sounds to me like actual episode spoilers discussions have to take place on the spoiler board, but I couldn't understand things like trailers, interviews, pics, etc not being allowed on our board (as long as they're in the Spoiler thread).

Bring on the new Josh interviews...Woohoo!!!

On the Fringe 04-27-2014 07:22 AM

I know -- he's always so charming and witty in interviews! Showtime would be big-time idiots not to put him on the promo beat.

Tracydeanne1 04-27-2014 07:24 AM

Showtime gets their casts pretty involved in PR, especially in social media. A lot of them live tweet during their show air times, it's pretty awesome.

Josh is exactly the kind of actor that Showtime loves. :)

On the Fringe 04-27-2014 07:27 AM

That would be fun to follow, but maybe distracting to be watching TV and phone at the same time? I know other shows have done this, though.

Tracydeanne1 04-27-2014 07:31 AM

I don't have Showtime, so I watch the shows later on iTunes, so I don't find it distracting, just kind of cool. Anyone else ever watch a show during live tweet? Maybe they tweet during commercials?

I don't think I've ever watched a Showtime program I didn't like, and lots of awards out there. I just started watching Matt LeBlanc's new show, Episodes, funny! And one of my favorite shows currently is House of Lies with Don Cheadle.
