Maybe hoodie is a North American thing? Although Giada is in Europe and she's calling it a hoodie too.
I've never heard of jerkin or trackie. __________________

We have hoodies too but they are mostly associated with very unsavory teenagers so on an adult it would be called a track-suit or trackie top. I can't believe we are discussing the name of this garment here are we sad or what?Josh/Cole looks great in it anyway whatever we call it!

Cultural differences.
I lived in London for a year after university, and figuring out language with my new british friends was always fun. And here in Canada we even have a close language link with England, and I still found lots of things where I had to ask "what's that". I remember the first time someone told me they liked my fringe. I was like "you like my what"? In any case, Josh looks good, trackie or hoodie. __________________

When I moved to the North West of England from the North East I had to learn a new set of words for familiar things so coming from another country I should imagine the colloquialisms took some getting used to. By the way if I called my son's jacket a jerkin he wouldn't know what I was talking about. It is a very old fashioned word that somehow stuck in my head.

I'm kind of partial to the style of the shirt he has under the hoodie which is the same as the one in his promo pic. __________________

It reminds me of the old western movies and TV series when they wore those sort of undershirts almost like long johns shirts which is I suppose a shout out to that sort of garment as he is supposed to be a cowboy. That is the pic that I think belongs in the gutter thread where I have just posted it.

That pic is now in the Gutter Thread.
I see we are going to need a new Thread, so time to start thinking about a Thread title. Ideas? __________________

How about something about Henley's or jerkins or giddy aunt's? sorry cowboy boots? Something like from the classroom to the ranch lets have an affair this summer. But seriously perhaps classroom and ranch should appear somewhere in the title or From the classroom to the beach-house.
