The show will not be the same without Ruth and Josh.

The whole premise of the show was supposed to be about a couple who fell in love because they were soul mates and although They were contentedly married to other people, they really fell in love and risked everything to be together. What the heck happened??? It all really went to pieces when the writers deviated from this premise, but could have been so much better if they had concentrated on the original 4.

Speaking of actors, it looks like the cast of “The Affair” is back. Most of the gang has been spotted hanging out and filming in Montauk, with the exception of Ruth Wilson, who has left the show. And contrary to those reports that Joshua Jackson won’t be returning either for season five, we’ve got the photographic evidence that puts him here with the crew and out and about in Montauk. Stay tuned for more soon. The final season, set to air next summer, will be the last for the Golden Globe-winning Showtime drama.

Josh returning is the best news I read all week. I was all ready to pass on season 5. But now that I know Josh is returning than maybe we will get some real closure to Alison's death. Like maybe he will recover that Alison didn't commit suicide. Maybe they will revisits what really took place between Alison , and Scotty as well.

That's awesome news. I didn't invest in 4 Seasons just to have my favourite character (and actor and guy) not return for its final season.

I think we'll know in the coming weeks how Cole's story will go, depending on if Catalina, Ramon, and Mare return. If not, if it's only Cole and (maybe) Joanie, it will probably be a 2 episode sendoff.

This is great to see. Sarah hasn't said that filming has started again, which is weird for her. Hope we get some photos soon.

Moreno marks the third series regular to depart The Affair, following original cast members Ruth Wilson (whose Alison was infamously killed off) and Joshua Jackson. Like Jackson, Moreno could return as a guest star, pending availability. She will next appear opposite Sophia Bush in the forthcoming CBS spy drama Surveillance, which received a production commitment back in September.
