It will be very difficult for Ruth to return to Luther as they killed her off in the last season, but stranger things have happened!

I thought at the time it was very strange for Alice to have died in the way she was depicted to (She was fished out of a canal in Amsterdam, if I remember correctly). Alice was a genius killer who was on the run so must have faked her own death.

I don't really like Luther but may watch it if Ruth is back.

Alison is a grief counselor. She had to take classes in counselor, and how to spot abuse. So she should know how to calm people down,and not make it worse. Something just not right.
